Let's blame the pieces of shit who always say "look at my! I'm left/right and better than the other group" 99% of the time. Whether if it's directly or indirectly, people need to realize that the ones who force their agendas and look at everything in a black or white manner are the ones who cause issues in society

How about we stop calling everything even and the 'oh you guys with political views are all the same'?

There are people who cheerlead for war time and time again and get their peckers hard at the thought of bombing foreign countries that they couldn't pinpoint on a map if their life depended on it. How about we keep blaming those assholes over and over again, so the next time the next dark skinned lunatic blows himself up they won't be demanding we nuke Iran or some other country?

I would love to see those same people take responsability now instead of get fake outraged because the 'evil lefties' don't feel good about hundreds of people drowning in the sea and their bodies being brought to our shores.

It's quite clear who has been on the right and wrong side of history...

Your opinion seems just as unfair as the person you replied too. You can't blame the west for the problems in Africa, especially since colonialism effectively ended in most of the continent over 1/2 a century ago.

And maybe the people wouldn't be drowning if they didn't cross the sea in the first place...

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Do you honestly think 50 years is enough time to econimically rise from the exploitations of colonialism given the circumstances of the continent?

Walk a mile in their shoes is an idiom that I feel you should highly consider.

Look at India. Granted that has been nearly 70 years, and they still have a long way to go. But give it a decade or two, it'll be where China is right now. But do you believe most African states will be in that position in 10-15 years anyway? It has a long way to go, and Europe cannot be blamed forever for their misfortune.

This is disgraceful fear mongering, spreading fear and hate. These people are human beings just like everyone else. The world community should embrace the refugees and provide them with the support they need to become functioning members of society.

The history wont go away...

My point is why I care, not that it'll go away. How exactly is this fair to Europeans to allow in so many economic migrants. How about the USA do something for once, or how about the middle east. These people are drowning in the 1000s, then blaming Europe for letting it happen! These people need to solve the problems in their own countries, while Europe does the same for themselves.

As yes, the country who gives the most foreign aid in the world needs to step up.

Don't you understand? AFRICA IS A CONTINENT. IT HAS CLOSE TO NO RESOURCES. IT'S SAND. DESERT. CORRUPTION.

Where the hell shall we start then Mr.genius? It's already hard enough to tell the barbarians in India that you can't rape little girls. Have fun trying to move the stubborn boulder known as Africa.

i didn't blame the west for the problems in africa as a whole, i specifically mentioned this very defined problem of the refugees. there were governments in place that prevented such civil wars from happening, we might not like the people heading those governments but if someone wants to change them it should be their own people. there was no reason to have wars in iraq and afghanistan in the first place, and there was no way to 'spread democracy' by force.

but i will save some blame too in a big way to the US government for supporting saudi arabia and their regime to spread wahabi islam during the cold war to fight the "godless" commies. that was the main source of the dominionist strain of islam spread out through the world.

everything happens for a reason, its our task to understand it in order not ro repeat the same mistakes.

now in my oppinion the solution to this shit will have to involve literally take back the occupied territories from daesh and once things settle down get the millions of people to return to their homes. one way or another it won't be pretty

This whole thread pretty much sums up the debate and outcome every single freakin time.

On the one hand you have people saying the immigrants need to be deported and go back to fix their countries problems. Never really acknowledging the fact that those countries are essentially failed states with near zero chance of ever becoming stable again without seriously strong forces either from within (IE crazy murderous dictator seizing control who often is as corrupt if not more than what was there before but at least stable) or strong outside force in the form of occupation and serious money from the country(ies) that attempt to help.

Without these things, deporting people will only result in a continued cycle of deportation, followed by the immigrants making the journey again, followed by them probably getting deported again. Costing Europe more and more money.

On another hand you have people comparing China and India to the whole of Africa or the Middle East and how if China and India can get their shit together why can't they. Failing to understand that China and India have been much more stable throughout their history. Also forgetting that China is a single, very oppressive, country which does not have the same cultural and religious issues that many African countries have. Africa has had a very tumultuous history; of being plundered of people and treasure, of deep religious infighting, and of course regime after regime of corrupt war leaders.

And yet another hand you have people saying European and other countries need to accept all these refugees without really acknowledging that this is unsustainable both economically and culturally when some countries refuse to do it while other bear the brunt of the immigration. They never put forth good potential policy that will allow immigrants to properly assimilate into their transplant country, or find a job, or learn the language, or practically anything. Almost always what happens is refugee camps crop up with poor sanitation and isolation. These people often do not understand a single thing about the culture of where they have ended up. Is it any wonder that they often fail to live up to the standards of that country.

And yet. These are human being, despite that fact that their _are_ bad apples hidden in the bunch. These people are families, just trying to escape. Many immigrants are not so much trying to make a new life as much as they are merely fleeing from being killed. If their origin country were to somehow become whole and stable again, perhaps many of them would choose to go back.

Frankly, I myself do not have the solutions that _will_ solve the continued immigration problems around the world. However, it is obvious to me that none of you people do either and neither do any of the politicians around the world. So far all that seems to be happening is suffering and wasted money.

Saharan Africa doesn't have a ton of resources, but you're very mistaken if you don't think Africa has a lot of natural resources, I don't really know what to tell you.

I should continue.

it has resources, a good amount. However, it's not doing much to allow Africa to follow expand and grow.

Why is it? It's not like all of Africa is sand(as shown in movies and ads). It's surprising how a continent with such an abundance of resources fails to provide any sort of growth at all.

This post is enough to lock the thread. Same as always.

Anti immigration stance, 70% of people disagree, same arguments, same rebutals, and so forth.
