Never saw anyone talk about it- Nintendo has finally made a great glasses-free 3D experience with the N3DS. Do you think they'll implement it in the NXDS, or will 3D be something unique to the 3DS?

I hope not. All it would take is a bit of dirt/dust and then the 3D didnt work well at all afterward. And I've never seen anyone use the 3D in public or at home, ever.

i wouldnt care either way. i barely use the 3D anyways as it drains the battery faster.

Yes, I was going to say no but then I thought about it. Not having it would be the smart thing to do because it's a useless addition that almost nobody wants, but this is Nintendo so why not do it

Being serious though of course it won't, the 3D was merely a gimmick to try and sell people on their new device and honestly I think it backfired on them.

I almost completely forgot that the 3DS even has 3D. That right there shows that any successor doesn't need 3D. Because the 3DS itself will be remembered for its library, not for any gimmick it uses.

I hope it doesn't. Never found it useful in any way, just gives me migraines every time I use it. Save it for more power or cheaper price.

the eye-tracking tech for the New 3ds is great, they should keep using that. With better graphics that tech could be really immersive. 

I never cared too much for it. Even if it is, I won't use it.

FYI, If no 3D means higher resolution(more textures :O) and better hardware, I'm all in.

I wonder what the DS successor would be like without the 3D. Maybe we would be in a better position

Besides making games prettier it also makes me better at platforming due to the added depth!

The big plus is that it's glasses-free obviously. As someone that wears actual glasses I find the 3D glasses like at the movie theatre to be a nuisance, because I need to uncomfortably wear them over my real glasses. Luckily today's common Real3D glasses are fairly light and fit decently enough, but I remember the early ones not fitting at all. The IMAX ones I have are already harder because of the form factor and I also can't even wear my special Stormtrooper 3D goggles because they won't fit over my glasses at all... If the 3DS wouldn't have been glasses-free, I would have hated it even with the gameplay advantages it gives me, but now, I only see good things so yeah, I hope it stays.
