Forums - Sales Discussion - Trusty Bell (Eternal Sonata) Hits #4 on Amazon JP

Darc, hehe. Then we are in agreement :) Realilistically, there's no way that TB would be underneath 1/5th of BDs impact. Why? Culdicept Saga. It wasn't the greatest hyped game (compared to BD, or other major games). It ended up selling nearlt 45,000 units, a fifth of BD. The JP charts don't change much for me, the range of TBs sales could be a paltry (but substantial) 65k to even surpassing Blue Dragon or getting within 200k due to far more 360 owners, Forza's impact, and strong h/w bundle sales with TB. I'm still putting an "official" range of 95k to 135k in the most likely section. If TB can hit 65k o/w, it'll certainly be on the path to succuess (as that'd be the highest selling game on 360 since, and only with BD selling higher). Anything under 50k would be bad, unless it maintains some sort of "Legs"

yeah...i agree....xbox 360 is done in japan....its gonna take microsoft a couple more console generations to truly break ground in japan....japanese people are so well establish with sony and nintendo that they dont really care for microsoft...the main reason is that there isnt any main franchises like final fantasy or dragon quest on the system....and games like Amored Core 4 its gonna sell well on the PS3 than the Xbox 360....just the simple fact that Sony is there reliable console maker....and with those 380,000 units in japan half or some of those users could be americans or europeans...so u really cant trust those 380,000 users cause americans do live in japan......

"Namco Bandai's upcoming RPG offering Trusty Bell for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 has reached No. 4 in the best-selling video game products at Amazon Japan.

The new game title ranked at No. 16 one week ago.

Trusty Bell is a brand new RPG title that is slated for release on June 14 in the region."

absolutely preposterous.

TRUSTY BELL(eternal sonata) is at no 11 on amazon bestselling list.

http://www.amazon.co.jp/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/503-8500479-5805505?__mk_ja_JP=%83J%83%5E%83J%83i&url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=&Go.x=13&Go.y=18

x360 premium is at no #700.

FOLKSOULS is coming out on june 6 and NGS is coming out on june 12.

so as expected x360 would sell atbest 3k figures during the trusty bell week.

FIXED

The bestseller list is here:

http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/bestsellers/videogames/ref=pd_dp_ts_vg_1/249-7311652-0998721

TB ranks at position 2 at the moment, Forza 2 at position 6.

You seem to have some difficulties operating the amazon.co.jp website.

The rest of your post doesn't make much sense either.

What's annoying is the pattern: shows up, messes the thread, gets proven wrong, and then silently moves on to messing some other thread.

Reality has a Nintendo bias.

He's called a troll. He'll be banned very shortly after TB's numbers come in if not sooner. Tetsuya - I guess thats why Enchant Arms sold nearly the same on PS3 as it did on 360, right? Same company that made AC4. Maybe the reason AC4 sold better on the PS3 was the fact that it was DECEMBER instead of March.

ugh w/e who cares? we all know this game is not gonna save the 360 in Japan. you people are arguing like it matters.

Night, if you've ever been a fan of JRPGs, you'd care. It matters when the fact is that every next-gen JRPG might goto the Wii, and any PS3/360 owner might miss out on any JRPG fun. Games like Trusty Bell, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, FFXIII, and the various PS3 projects matter sales-wise, because it'll light some sort of a fire under the major JRPG software developers to not go the Wii way, and ruin traditional, strong RPGs.

well my favorite games are JRPGs so I am def. a fan. I just didn't see the need to argue so much over some sales rank, but I understand what you're saying. It would make me sad to see all these JRPGs go to the Wii. I don't think they could ever be as epic as they would be on a PS3...or 360 I guess.

Yay!  Armoured Core 4 for 360 is something like #28 too.
