Not exactly, the target demographics are mostly mindless and buy Mario Party games the same way sheeple go to see Transformer movies. It's less of a "let's make a good game" and more of a cash grab on Nintendo's part. Just like Mario and Sonic at the Olympics.

um no, Mario Party (and most party games in general) is aimed primarily at children and families which is who you just said the game sold to.

Its less of a "lets make a quick cash grab" and more of a light hearted, simple game for children and their parents to play together.

A quick cash grab would be something like Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, not Mario Party

It's really just a cash grab, but you can think it's not if you want. It doesn't change the game at all.

You are just arguing for the sake of argument and are back tracking on what you originally said.

Earlier you said Nintendo enthusiasts, casuals & children are not tired of the series, my response was that those demographics are who Mario Party is aimed at.

You couldnt think of a real rebuttle to that so now youre just saying its a quick cash grab.

They will be announced at the NX Event in October

Humor us further by explaining why you think they'd make cross gen games.

So in other words

  • having fun
  • couch play
  • casual games
True this is embarrasing. Silly me..

I think you mean

  • 100% luck-based gameplay
  • a series of shallow mini-games
  • wasting time on a bland party game in the name of local co-op when better options like Rocket League exist
Yeah. Embarrassing. Silly you.

I know a lot of people who are not that into video games.  My girlfriend, my sister, young cousins, and male friends who don't really love playing video games, especially considering I play a lot more than them and I'm waaay better at them to the point where it's neither fun for me to destroy them nor to for them to get destroyed.  Most of them would not care for a round of rocket league, Street Fighter 4, Smash, or what have you.

But, we can have a ton of fun playing a Mario Party game, possibly with some alcoholic beverages involved depending on ages involved.  The luck factor keeps one person from dominating  and the simplicity means people don't spend 10 minutes walking into walls and getting frustrated.  It's like a board game.  Which is pretty much the whole point of it.  Not every game has to be an extreme test of skill.  Silliness, randomness, and simplicity are fun for many people.

As far as I can tell the only embarassing thing here is your comparison of Rocket League to Mario Party as though you are legitimately unable to comprehend the inherent differences and why one or the other may be preferable at different times. It's like saying "It's embarassing to waste time reading your son a shallow simplistic bedtime story like Green Eggs and Ham when better options like War and Peace exist".

I agree 100%, its like some people just cant grasp the concept that not all games are designed for "hardcore" gamers.

The only features I want is:
- More Players! The 5 player of Bowser Party really worked!
- Online Multiplayer!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Oh please...
Better be miles better than the mediocre MP10

Honestly this series needs more air between titles and I wouldnt be mad if they let it die already.

They have to throw something at people to chew while they wait for Zelda U, so yeah i think it'll release later this year.

Humor? I'm telling you the truth. Iwata CONFIRMED that they will continue making Wii U Games after NX Launch. But if you can't handle the truth...

And DS was not the GBA successor...

And they were ready for HD development...

And Zelda was going to release in 2015...

And they learned from the multiple launches to avoid in the next piece of hardware an initial drought...

Yeah, let's believe with this track record.
