Out of all the games the Wii U needs, why ANOTHER Mario Party game? I understand they are cheap to make, but people are tired of those.

Are people tired of them? The most recent sold 1.76m according to Nintendo's official numbers and is the 9th best selling game on the console.

Please elaborate, only thing embarassing here is your attitude towards the genre.

Given your request for elaboration and your following response, I'll just go ahead and say that the problems with it are likely things you would consider positives.

So in other words

  • having fun
  • couch play
  • casual games
True this is embarrasing. Silly me..

I think you mean

  • 100% luck-based gameplay
  • a series of shallow mini-games
  • wasting time on a bland party game in the name of local co-op when better options like Rocket League exist
Yeah. Embarrassing. Silly you.

Gamers are tired of them.

Nintendo enthusiasts, casuals, and children very much enjoy the thoughtless gameplay.

Then why play Rocket League when better options like Mario Kart 8 exist? You arent really going anywhere with those arguments, some still actually likes the franchise. Shallow or not.

Ugh this better not be true, and if it is, why!? It would do nothing except further tarnish the Wii U's legacy, so why even bother wasting any amount of resources on Wii U when you could be putting them towards NX?

If true it's a waste of time. I can't find any possible reason for making a new MP game, when the WiiU already has one. I'd prefer that they focus on the NX, tbh.

Also a good point. Mario Party is unnecessary, shallow, and quite frankly a cash-in.

Not exactly, the target demographics are mostly mindless and buy Mario Party games the same way sheeple go to see Transformer movies. It's less of a "let's make a good game" and more of a cash grab on Nintendo's part. Just like Mario and Sonic at the Olympics.

To everybody saying "Please no! Waste of money!": Nintendo is currently squeezing the last money out of the Wii U. Since the NX will launch at the end of the fiscal year they need something else to make money. The 3DS alone is not enough. That's why they are making these new Splatoon amiibo or the new Splatoon Wii U Bundle for Japan. Getting as much as possible out of it with the fewest effort. A new Mario Party game with the same MP10 engine and just some new maps and minigames for the holidays would fit perfectly into it. I trust my source. This source isn't lying.
