Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Insider Source: Mario Party 11 in Development for Wii U

Do you think there is a Mario Party 11 in Development for Wii U?

Yes 82 48.52%

No 87 51.48%

Total:169

A few days ago I have posted that one of my sources told me that a new Xbox console will launch in 2017. Shortly after that several big news sites reported the same. This is the reason why I give this source so much credibility that I post the next thing the source told me. According to that source Mario Party 11 is in development for Wii U and will launch later this year. It will be the last First Party Wii U exclusive game.

As I said after the Xbox thing ended being true I also believe this.

Just get rid of that goddamn car.

If they are making it for fans of the old style (no car), then this would be a great send off game. Not to mention, it is easy to do and probably requires little resources and people (I'd imagine that they will use the same engine as 10).

You believe another Mario game will come out for the Wii U.... nha I don't believe you.. seems to far fetched.

well Mario Party isn't exactly that ground breaking anymore so it seems to fit a low budget pattern Nintendo has been following recent times with mario games.

The last first party WiiU exclusive? So please someone tell me how the NX is not a successor to the WiiU, but will exist along with it like Nintendo wants us to believe?

And I was going to make a thread about a Nintendo's home console ending up with only 1 Mario party game for the first time ever!

I hope you don't deceive us by just doing an lucky guess , I mean based on the fact that Nintendo home consoles had always more that one Mario party game...

Please lose the car! And a online mode would be interesting!

Ugh, I wish Mario Party and its entire genre would go away.

If they don't return Mario Party back to the old run around the board separately to chase down the star mechanic, I don't think anyone will care. I haven't liked a Mario Party since Mario Party 5. The fact that the majority make this complaint, and Nintendo still keeps releasing these horrible new ideas with group moving and getting dozens of mini stars, shows they don't listen or are so conceded that they think they can come up with an idea to sway us away from what we loved about the originals. Sometimes, and by sometimes, I mean most of the time, franchises are ruined because they had to change something that wasn't for the better. They ruined Mario party just like Squarenix ruined Final Fantasy, Capcom ruined Resident Evil, and motion controls ruined Star Fox, Nintendo ruined Paper Mario...the list goes on. They need to realize what made a game great, hopefully Capcoms new Resident Evil will bring back what made it great..Horror, Dragon Quest 11(which I have heard nothing about since it was announced) stays turn based battles, and Mario Party goes back to pre Mario Party 6...
