Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Gamestop: NX could potentially deliver 7.5 billion in sales during the first two years!

These are not actual projections. It's just Gamestop giving people (investors) a graph, saying "look, if this thing sells 50% of what the Wii did, it would generate this amount of money".

In my opinion the only important things are the games that are coming for NX and the specs of the NX

Don't forget gamespot will become games editor ! This projection could intégred a HH in équation...

People get paid for making projections based on nothing but speculation?

So....not an all digital subscribtion service then?

Those are some optimistic projections... I'm curious how optimistic theirs were for the Wii U.

Funny that you mention this.

Just like pretty much every games retailer, Gamestop were bullish on the Wii U.

They noted that they had nearly 500,000 customers who had registered interest in buying a Wii U and over 1.2 million software reservations. They noted that this was double the demand that they'd seen for Wii and that this meant that the console would likely have a strong launch. They even went as far as saying that they might not be able to satisfy demand.

Zhuge telling it like it is.

Until we actually see nintendos NX and have some actual info about it, this "prediction & estimations" talk is just empty and meaningless.

They know nothing.

Its not written by Jon Snow, I checked :)

Still think its just empty and meaningless to do predictions on a product we basically only know the code-word name of.

Is he saying that it's going to be 400$?

Seems pretty decent to sell 20m in the first 2 years, Ps4 was at 35.9m so 20m seems doable, if they have something crazy then 25 to 30 m.

I'm a Nintendo apologist, and even I know that there's a tiny chance of happening.

WiiU actually had a decent launch. It's what came (or rather, didn't come) afterwards that killed it.

Yep. Around 1/3 of the Wii Us in the world are from the launch period.
