Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda at E3 to have two demos, Nintendo asking press to free up 90 minutes.

Didnt you just look at a few stuff in a minute trailer then assume everything else is exactly like Sticker Star

The core concept and mechanics of the game is a bit more than "a few stuff" and regardless is better than literally no evidence, and both sides of the argument are of course assuming things, but one side's assumptions are far more reasonable.

Oh I agree. I said it's better. Just not much better.

The only ones to blame are they with their constant teasing.

Gamers are notirious for overhyping things and then being mad when thier stupid expectations arent met.

I mean, just look at E3 hype every year. I cant have any hype for this year after last year was complete trash outside the Xbox presentation.

Don't blame gamers. This time the only ones to blame are Nintendo.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Yes, I saw trailer and there is nothing that tells that game will be garbage.

Then you're in denial. Here's some of the "nothing" that tells us exactly what this game is.

Literally the entirety of the trailer screamed Sticker Star. The characters, or rather the lack of, instead nothing but generic toads, the same as in SS. The battle system, a stripped and watered-down version of the classics with no experience, FP, BP, partners, or special moves, the same as SS. It uses a resource mechanic, the same as SS, just replace stickers with cards, which can be found in the field, only making battles pointless and better off avoided. Even those god damn Thing stickers are back. How you progress through the game is segmented into stages/levels that you beat by reaching a goal at the end and that's it. Further still, instead of an interconnected world with areas logically joined together they just have a world map. Yep, all that was also in Sticker Star. Even small nuances like the frame by frame animation, not even a hiyah or woohoo out of Mario, and the attack names, types, and their icons are ripped straight out of Sticker Star.

So if you still think Color Splash is anything but Sticker Star 2 and thus trash then I'm not wasting anymore time with one who can't see what's right in front of them.

Its depends, I guess, on who you're talking to. I'm probably gonna say the obvious, but nothing from the trailer said it's gonna be bad or good. Personally I've not played any of the PM games so I don't know much, just that I like to play before judging. All I know is that a minute doesn't do good enough for some to be convinced it's good or not. Plus, whether you believe it or like it or not, not everyone hates SS. Again, I don't know how the 2+ million consumers who bought the game thought of it so who the hell knows. It probably wasn't that much front loaded and it did well overtime with decent legs so there was constant interest after launch. Maybe I don't know anything about it but that's my two cents from what I know.

Nah, I find it difficult to be particularly angry at anything related to this. The most I can feel towards Nintendo right now is curious. Maybe confused.

There hasnt been enough revealed for Zelda WiiU but there isnt anything close to "constant teasing" for it. Maybe for the NX but that's it really.

What depends, the quality of the game? No sir, a game's quality is gonna be the same for everyone. The bolded is denial/misinformed, and the rest of your post is about people liking it which is not what's being talked about. If you wanna like Color Splash, fine I don't have too much problem with that, but do not try forcing others to think it's anything other than what's shown based on nothing when there are clear signs otherwise a.k.a. what Miyamotoo's doing and thus what you're supporting by defending him.

I understand your disappointment, (the only Ninty franchise  would say has honestly gotten screwed to the point of being "bad" is Paper Mario) but dont pretend your overblown pessimism is much better than his overblown optimism.

My overblown optimism!? I never game will be great, my point is that you cant say game is garbage because we have just one minute trailer.

No, you cant know if game will be trash or great based on one minute trailer because there are much more staffs we don't know about game than we actually know from 1 minute trailer, for instance we don't know anything about story. But you can still deny that and say game is trash, game for which we have just one 1 minute trailer and nothing else.

Do you really think Nintendo will put everything about game in first 1 minute trailer, do you actually know that usually Nintendo reviles and first trailers and are bad and later ones are much better because Nintendo later shows more staffs and infos.

Back to thread, exactly two weeks till Zelda! :)
