Now that the Ps4.5 and xb1.1 will release and be 3-5x more powerful I expect the NX to be Nintendos last console and sales should do less then Wii U.

You expect that only if you dont know what are main reasons why Wii U failed so bad. I cant see NX selling less than Wii U in any case beacuse its not power one of main reasons why Wii U sold so bad. Wii U is bloody mess, Nintendo made so many mistakes with it that hardly they can to do all those mistakes again, but main reasons why Wii U failed so bad are: bad, weak and misunderstood marketing (you still have some people that still think Wii U is addon for Wii, or they dont know that Wii U exist at all), high price compared to competition (PS3/Xbox 360, because Wii U runed exactly same multiplatform games even some games runed worse while Wii U had higher price of around $100), and weak launch and 1st year linep with constant delays.

Just good marketing, affordable price ($249-300), great launch and 1st year lineup (just new Zelda is much stronger than Wii U had in entire 1st year), and power of hardware that will be enuf for XB1/PS4 multiplats ports, will be more that unuf that NX easily pass Wii U numbers (probably in first two years) regardles Sony and MS consoles, not mention that NX will probably have shared library with NX handheld and that will lead to higher popularity of NX console.

yeah yeah... that's it!!

Or... just hear me out on this one, I know it's a crazy idea, but... what if people realize that Nintendo hardware is pretty much destined to be low specced and mostly designed for party games and family friendly games, and for these people, much like the Wii was 'good enough' with it's Wii sports, for many people the Wii U will be good enough with it's Smash Bros and Zelda (it's still supposed to come out on Wii U right?), leaving little to no incentive for people who purchased the Wii U to upgrade.

Yeah I know, it's just a crazy idea, probably it will sell 100+ Million consoles in the next 5 years... right?..... right.......?

Hardly Nintendo can do exactly same thing like they done with Wii twice, something similar maybe, but again very underpowered hardware with strong gimmick that sell tens of millions to casuals, hardly.

They should just stick to what they are good at, make games, make good games and sell them everywhere under the sun. Boom, more money made, less money spent in R&D and everyone's happy.

But it's ok, perhaps after this gen they will have no other option but that one.

People are not familiar with how much money Nintendo make from hardware and peripheral for their consoles, its huge part of Nintendo profit. Also Nintendo they are fees they getting like platform holder, also they taking whole profit from their games they dont need to share with anyone, and one of most important things is when they have their platform they their rules, they can whatever they want and we all know Nintendo like to play buy its own rules.

Taking fees as a platform holder for which 3rd parties? the nearly 0 support they get and similar sales from them? selling exclusively to an audience of 10M when they could sell to a 10 times bigger audience is just stupid in all accounts.

No one is talking about handhelds, they seem to still be doing ok on that front, but who knows for how long.

In terms of power, no one can be sure. Lots of contradictory rumors of there.

As far as what matters, PS4K uses all of the PS4's titles and userbase. It seems to just be a premium model. With this in mind, PS4K will win, because it's already won.

Those that release games for platform, even there are only few of them on Wii U they still get fees, but that is just small part of benefit being platform holder for Nintendo. Again, Nintendo on its platform make biggest profit for its games, Nintendo on its platform make profit from hardware and peripheral, Nintendo with own platform have complete control over their plans and they basically can do whatever they want, they making they own rules.

Its funny how some people thing Nintendo will exit hardware business just because Wii U is failed, completely ignoring fact that last gen Nintendo had best selling console and had best selling generation of console hardware ever (Wii+DS sold around 255m units). One failed console doesnt mean nothing for Nintendo, they history is based on hits and misses, for instance people forget Virtual Boy but after Virtual Boy they had several sucufule handhelds.

We literally don't know ANYTHING yet... doesn't stop people from speculating like crazy, I guess.

If the rumors regarding xbox are true, I don´t think I´ll ever have an xbox again, since rumors said pc was being pushed harder internally.

I´m not sure about PS4.5, I´ll probably wait for PS5.

NX I may buy down the line if I can play every nintendo game on the home console. I don´t like playing on handhelds. If there will be handheld only games then I won´t buy whatever nx is.
