We are far far off from a robot society

If we're thinking a futuristic sci-fi scenarios were robots are more android kinda things, maybe even bio-mechanical beings, self aware and capable of decision-making and whatnot, I can only imagine that the issue will be more about what defines life and such. In which case we are pretty much screwed.

But before any of that happens, robot prositution will be a major thing. You will be able to buy your own robot-sex-doll and it will adapt to whatever you like. It might even take the form of whatever famous person you like. People will become addicted to it and population in general will decrease until one day there will be more robot sex dolls than people.

So we're screwed anyway.

"I love you, PILLIP J. FRY" Some ways that will be good. Because the worlds famine and homeless will drop to basically 0. But I do doubt it. Paying for such a thing would be like buying an electric car. And I doubt you'd get 100% population.

If a machine could be determined to be actually sentient, it should have at least some basic rights guaranteed to it, and should not be treated as a piece of disposable consumer electronics.

I have a feeling lots of politics would start coming in. And that project would eventually be blocked. Either, because of lack of funding. Or people will outright ban it. Like cloning. Desgins like only being a robotic arm would be enforced.
