This comes from a source I can't talk about. But this source confirmed to me that Microsoft will launch their next generation Xbox platform in 2017. Sadly this source didn't know more about that. The source couldn't even tell me if it's a traditional console or something else.

That'd be an even shorter lifespan than the WiiU, I don't buy it. Lot of people will be pissed if true. If Microsoft do release be hardware I would expect it to be along the same line as the ps4 neo, not a new generation already...

That's what I expect, A Xbox One slim and not a 1.5 this year then a new console in 2017 which will play PC library of game and be on a 2-3 year upgrade cycle which they will announce from the start so people know what to expect and with a minimum of 5-6 years support of each older model.

I can see an upgraded version with better storage, processor and ram that also is able to play all XBO games currently coming out (similar to the PS4+). Entire new console/platform? I dunno. Think they are moving to an easy upgrade system every few years.

An XBox One.2 like the PS4K might be true. A new generation no. Shorter lifespam than the WiiU when they are in a way better position, that would be lethal for the XBox brand.
