Having played both it's honestly a difficult choice... I would say Uncharted comes across as a more impressive game and it naturally garners more support and attention being a PS exclusive made by Naughty Dog. Having said that, ROTTR has better character gameplay, by that I mean you character seems more capable in interacting with the world and her foes. Tomb Raider also has a lot more depth in gamepaly overall with things like character customization, side missions, weapon upgrades, map travelling etc. Uncharted's gameplay hasn't changed all that much with the exception of the grappling hook and some minor enhancements to hand-to-hand combat.

It's a difficult one... I appreciate Uncharted 4 for attention to detail, scale and technical accomplishment but I appreciate ROTTR for gameplay mechanics, depth and overall innovation to the genre. For me they each have their own merits and there is no clear winner. Get both if you can!

I really hope you skip this bullshit next time you make a comparison thread about something, I mean implying that uncharted fans are fanboys who hate and attack everyone that like or think a other game is better than uncharted, isn't a great way to start a thread.

Well, i have to go with UC4, since i'm waiting for TR on PS4. I'll have to wait a bit after release to get it, as i'm not going to pay $60 for a game, that will already have been out on X1 for a year.

No one here really seems to care what that happens anyway because whatever advantages PC would have against said console will get shrugged off or made minute to a point where those advntages never mattered in the first place.

Besides putting X1 against the PS4 is basically like PC vs console due to the way one has advantages and has done for as while with the other having nothing but bad luck and image control issues, the only difference here is that people care about the advantages when it's better suited.

Meh... The TR reboot was so bad IMO ("let's copy the Uncharted formula without knowing how to make it work"), I'll surely won't play this one. But everyone who played it seems to say that it's like the first one, so I think that Uncharted 4 is surely better.

Still haven't tried Rise of the Tomb Raider but I'll give it a go on PC later on. The first one was pretty good but nothing special imo, too many QTE's and simple combat, the upgrade trees and skills system were also kind of half-baked.

2013 was too cardboard and annoying Lara, I will get Rise on sale thank you very much.

I'm a little sad that you feel the need to include such a statement yet again in this thread. The only thing you achieve is to move focus away from the topic at hand and derail the thread before it's even started.

Besides, reading through the latest few pages of your post history you seem to be "hating" on a lot of things actually (PS4 menu = clusterfuck, PS E3 = roleplay before Zelda U, Sony = undeserving, Okami = boring asf, Activision = disgusting, Shawn Long = crybaby, Kratos = meh, etc). Your hate is never personal though so that's good :)

I know this post is off topic as well but that's my point. With an intro like that focus is moved to you, and that's not what you should pursue. Out of 5 pages you still haven't received one single hate comment. The majority of VGC users aren't like Crapgamer (unconstructive and offensive) so no need to project your negative expectation on the community.

For me TLOU > UC2 > RotTR > UC4 > TR > UC3 > UC1. So yeah, personally I enjoyed Rise of the Tomb Raider more than Uncharted 4 as well.
