Shit, and here I though I had gotten a great deal out of Rocket League at 7 cents per hour. Crap.

You are the reason why publishers are getting away with their horrendous pricing.

It's in times like these I'm glad that I can find solace in games like Ratchet & Clank for as little as 1.5 dollars an hour.

Team Fortress 2 is free right now.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/440/

It has been free for half a decade.

The gameplay is not more fleshed out, a couple of game modes and a dozen maps doesn't make a complete game.

The Multiplayer is balanced, I'll give it that, but it's boring. I bought the game on release and I am bored of it already. That itself is a problem.
It was also the same problem I had with Halo 5's bare-bones multiplayer. It was the same problem I had with Titanfall, Evolve... So why should I praise this and criticise those others for the exact same problem?

Apparantly constructive criticism is illegal on this forum.

Microtransactions do not belong in a full priced game that isn't even feature complete. It's a money grab.

As for the game being better than the ther titles I mentioned.. That is highly debatable. And you know what? Blizzard is actually my favorite developer of all time, StarCraft is my favorite franchise of all time and I am absolutely disgusted with Overwatch as it is right now and I WILL voice my opinion whether YOU like it or not.

Naw man, the constructive criticism of games is the lifeblood of VGchartz really, someone brings up a reason why they don't like something and others chat about how they agree or disagree, I think you've found yourself on the receiving end of the vocal minority who would rather name call in caps because you have dissed an aspect of a game which launched.

But I think Blizzard has just done themselves a bit of an injustice when it comes to the PC release of the game, since if you click on buying it on battlenet you are taken to buy the Origin pack which has things like a few skins for a selection of the Heroes and then bonus content.... for all of blizzards other games, Mercys wings for Diablo, a winston pet in WoW, a card or deck for hearthstone, some portraits for starcraft and so forth, but the thing is... if you click to buy above that you can select just Overwatch on it's own without the digital cosmetic stuff (mostly for other games) and you find the game there for €39.99 I think in trying to push the Origin pack they've actually made people think this game is more expensive than it actually can be gotten for.

That said consoles don't have an option other than Origin pack... and also don't get the items for the other blizz games on the PC ... so fuck console owners it seems a little bit :D

But yeah... Never stop criticising shit you don't like in games... when that happens then devs will have zero feedback on what is good or bad about their games, not a good thing!

Digimon Cyber Sleuth is currently coming in at 19c per hour for me... going down all the time though, what a fantastic game.

Edit - Almost 50% of the poll voting for "too expensive" Wonder how sales of it will be compared to the Beta number of players.

I'm inclined to agree, I don't know how to plan on making much revenue though with only a 60 dollar price tag ;s. the game should've been f2p, and they would've ranked in a lot more cash.

Is it trolling to say I feel it might be a tad overrated?

Because I feel it's a tad overrated. The last time a game released with only multiplayer and no campaign, it was panned for doing so (even though it was promised within two months for free). I feel there might be a bit of Blizzard bias going on.

Don't get me wrong, the game looks fantastic, but it doesn't seem like it brings anything revolutionary to the table. It's just a fresher, Blizzard-ier Team Fortress with Pixar-y animation (which you don't really get to ever see any of your own animations due to the whole First Person thing). SFV was a solid fighter with great animation and pseudo-free DLC (you could earn it or buy it), but sorry- no story, so it's clearly a mediocore game.

I guess I just don't understand. Eh. On topic, yeah, $60 is too expensive. But so is $40 for an FPS Moba. I'd pay $15, tops.

Try to guess how many people who voted for that actually had an intention to buy it in the first place.

Hint: It's not 100%.

I dunno, I don't really think it's trolling, I mean I find the hype for UC4 to be overrated and bloated. When I look at Overwatch I see a version of TF2 done right unlike what Brink once tried some eyars ago, that and it;s generated some memes out of it, albiet old ones (just like the TF2 type look).

I honestly see nothing wrong with MP only games since they have managed to stand on their own legs since their inception, it's really the bad ones, the ones that absolutely don't have anything going for them nor trying to get anything going, those are the MP games that are destined to fail. The games that do get MP right have followings that span for years like TF2 and CS, Planetside and Planetside 2.

I don't really get why it has to do something new though considering a lot of game ideas and designs have borrowed heavily from one another, just look at what the Souls franchise managed to heavily influence over a few short years, lots of heavy borrowing from that series alone and it greatly stands out without those other devs having to bring huge changes of any sort to the table, Souls fans love souls games, just like how I loved TF2 and I love Overwatch.

Isn't the new R&C a retooling of the original game but is also very pixar esque?, a retooling isn't exactly bringing massive changes to the table as much as say an entirely completely new and different R&C title.

There is always going to be fan bias for all sorts of games, just like on here for R&C and UC4, look at the absolute gushing that has exploded over the past few weeks compared to the two OW threads with one complaining about the price point and the other just updating review numbers.

Also OW isn't an FPS Moba, just letting ye know.

I'm not really sold on the Uncharted for Ratchet series. I'd rather have more inFAMOUS. And I'm not saying Overwatch is a bad game... Just pretty overrated. I mean, it looks great. But I don't feel a game that can only be played with others really earned a 90+ on Metacritic when games from genres that are defined by ONLY being multiplayer (like fighting) are given negative points for being only multiplayer. Just a bit of double standards.

And I had only heard a few people describe it as an FPS Moba. I just figured that was the new "thing" to refer to it as.

It's hard for me to say. It depends on how fun it is to play, amount of content and how long you'll keep playing it. Can't really find that out unless you play. I'm not buying it because it doesn't interest me though. From what I heard about it so far, it's not worth it's price for anyone not really into that genre or kind of game.

Can't really say for others, I rather enjoyed the beta and have considered buying it a few times over the weekend, seeing the insults flying here about how great it is really makes me think about how much the game relies on having a good community to be worth the money for me. I think other than wow there is no other game I play online, like I said though, liked the beta a lot just not the regular game type I play so the price is a little bit of a block for me. I'll see how sales are though for it, if tons of people pick it up then I'm sure there will be loads playing it for the next year at least.

Just see things like evolve dying pretty quickly because the players weren't playing it, wouldn't fancy my first online shooter to not have people to shoot :) oh.....  Slight untruth!  I played some of mag just to see the mayhem of 256 players in a game but didn't actually rank up beyond the 128 player rounds, was still crazy tho.
