Add it up whatever way you want, this game game should not be at the higher end of AAA retail price. I paid 60 euro for The witcher 3, 65. for Fallout 4, 70 euro for MGS5! They all have one thing in common, they were stacked with content and I played each of them more than 250 hours.

While the Beta was good, its a game you would play in chucks here and there. What am I paying 75 euro for? The characters? The cosmetic "loot boxes"? Fuck me, it even has micro transactions for these "loot boxes", up to 40 damn euro.

This is another shooter with no campaign, little content and a much to high price that I just can not justify buying even though I would love to at half its current price or at the very least low AAA retail price at 50 euro.

Damn it, damn it all!

Yeah this is exactly what I thought I would buy the game for 40-50 bucks but not 69.99 (i am from Germany)

To each his own.

I also paid $60 each for Witcher and Fallout, and if you combined and then doubled my play time from those games, I still have more time in Titanfall :)

You might not care for the genre or something, but if you do, it seems the gameplay warrants a $60 purchase.

You got a good point, but they could at least sell the digital PS4 version for 50 and not for 70 bucks, like they made it for the PC players

I'm not sold on Overwatch, so I won't be spending $60 on it. But I don't think a game needs to have a 60 hour campaign to justify a high price tag. If someone loves the gameplay loops in Overwatch he or she might find hundreds of hours of enjoyment from it. Or maybe he or she will just get eight mind-blowing hours with it - which might be worth the financial investment.

For me, a game's quality always overrides its duration.

You are right man, this really helped me out :D

I guess the market will decide, which really is a wholly appropriate mechanism in the video game world.

Personally I wouldn't even get this game if it was free because FPS doesn't interest me much, and even less so a multi-player only FPS. However if the game strongly appeals to the MP FPS fan then I imagine they will be able to sell the game for a top AAA price and millions of people will be happy to pay.

It seems to be getting pretty rave reviews for the moment.

If you don't like the price being charged for Overwatch then try Paladins. It's free. It's in open Beta at the moment. That's what the market is for, have competition so that you have alternatives. There are lower cost alternatives to Overwatch.

Overhyped, but Blizzard will get a pretty paycheck nonetheless. When it was announced most thought it would be a f2p game, but then Blizzard saw the hype and decided to cash in. Smart business move.

If this mean loads of money to put on Diablo 4, be my guest Blizzard, go and get all the bucks you possible can XD

I am sure Diablo pays for itself. Most Blizzard extra profit will go to new ip like Overwatch.
