Forums - Sony Discussion - GT Sport Is Already The PS4s Sexiest Racing Game (Gamespot)

My lawn mower doesn't sound like this

Anyway, can't judge it until I hear it on my home theater setup. Laptop speakers or head phones can't recreate engine sounds.

This looks great to me, can't wait

I was gonna get this game even if it looked like Crazy taxi.....

There are some IPs that just cant fail. It may nit have a damage model, but anyone that tells you they arent buying GT due to stuff like that? Honestly wouldn't have bought it even if it had a damage model.

The lighting in that bottom vid is so good it looks real to me.

The PS5 Exists.

The fact that FIA is allowing GT:S to count towards time for a legitimate racing license speaks volumes in itself. Gran Turismo, while always pretty, had never been about the visuals. It's about the realistic driving physics. That's why it's a "Racing Sim", not a "Racing Game".

Wow, did not know that. That is insane(in a good way). The game looks amazing to me and that is just from viewing it at 720P on a compressed Youtube video in alpha stage. Day one for me, I bought a Logitech G29 just for it!

So on point. GT Sport is the unltimate goal of what Kaz set out to do. This game is not only next gen, it takes GT to the promise land. With the FIA behind it, GT is the official home of virtual racing. All legitimate racing in the virtual space will take place in GT from here on out, unless they royally drop the ball.

In time all Racing will drop into GT to generate the most profit possible. NASCAR, INDY, F1, NHRA, all will make much more by reaching out through GT than by making thier own games. GT has moved from being a game to being a racing platform.

That is what is important about GT Sport. The fact that it legitimizes virtual racing, and sees it recognized along side real world auto racing.

For all the people whinnying about graphics, and sound, and AI, they have lost the point. The goal was always about making a racing simulator that can be realized as a true represintation of real auto racing, and have people competing against real people. They have reach that goal. The rest will come as the power and time alots it. But, even at this point the game sounds, and looks amazing, and this is only a 50% finished game on the PS4, not the Neo. In the end, this game will look gorgeous, and sound amazing, all while giving anyone in the world with $300 a chance to compete against the best in the world, and perhapps, win them a chance to go play with real cars.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Yeah, that caught me by surprise. I still can't believe it.

It seems EG has it in for GT Sport.

Basically dismissed based on impressions from an early build.

For the dedicated, and for those in thrall to motor racing, Gran Turismo Sport's shaping up to be quite the proposition. For the rest? There's not so much, and Sport's particular pursuit looks to come at the expense of its broader appeal. Time was you could rely on Gran Turismo to be a centrepiece for PlayStation, a technical showcase that would sell you on the power of its host hardware. Even taking into account the seven months left of development before the November release of Gran Turismo Sport, it's fair to say that's no longer the case.

GT6 improves everything on GT5, no good. GT Sport does something new, still no good.

There are better driving games out there - ones that look prettier, that sound better and that offer more by way of action. Gran Turismo is no longer the definitive driving simulator, and nor in this Sport incarnation is it the expansive automotive almanac of old. In its advanced years it's become something of an anomaly, an often maddening folly that shouldn't really be possible in this day and age.

Eurogamer didn't like DC either though. Haven't spend that much time on one racer since, eh, GT5 and GT6.
Project cars and Dirt rally fail where it matters, actual feel for racing with a controller. I'm afraid Asetto Corsa will have the same problem.

This boosts my hopes GT will still be the most fun to drive

"What we aim for, in developing the physics engine, is the driver has a feel for the car. Real does not mean difficult, because anyone can drive cars. That's a misunderstanding that's become standard around the world - that real is hard. That's a misconception that we aim to right. In order to achieve that, there's a lot of minute details that have to be worked on. The evolution, it is taking place - and even in the version today, it's not 100 per cent to where we want to take it. Hopefully you can already feel what we're working towards."

They will do well to dethrone Driveclub. but if anyone can, it's polyphony.
