Did you miss the very next sentence? I said 12-15m LTD. I meant I didn't want to put expectations for first week because first week sales can comprise a large range of LTD sales total of anywhere from <10%-50%. I do think in Uncharted 4's case that it will be a bit frontloaded simply due to the nature of the game (heavy marketing and fourth game in popular series).

I'd like to see how the legs fare, it's already down 78% from last week in UK. And I don't believe we have global first week sold-through for UC2, UC3. and TLoU but correct me if I'm wrong.

About the only useful data I've seen is 3.4m global sold-through in three weeks by TLoU. And we can't compare that to week one of Uncharted 4.

I literally said LT we will have to see BUT AS OF NOW it did amazing lol. So your 12-15 million we have a long time before that happens...so again not sure what you arguing here...if you had no expectations for first we sales then what are you discussing? Why are you debating? You had no expectations at all but before the numbers came out you claimed you felt it didn't meet expectations. Now that we have numbers you didn't have expectations and just want to see what it does LT. So what are you shooting for? AS OF NOW sales are amazing which is what people have been saying but you have been disagreeing and sayin git didn't meet expectations. You say not yours but Sonys yet you don't know Sonys so why even bring that up? People have asked you for data to back your claims and you provide none. I mean I don't get it man.

Also we have reliable data right here on this site for UC2, UC3 and TLOU...we have had many NPDs with data given, the have the weekly UK charts that give data...companies have released data on all 3 of those games since release and the data that is out if very reliable. If you have been on GAF or here for as long as you state then you would know this especially if you are a big sales person. So it is easy to compare the games. Not sure what more you want

I asked for global data for first week and you are telling me about data for the first month in one region

The reason why I thought Uncharted 4 sales were a bit disappointing is because I knew the legs would not be too great due to the nature of the game so I would expect very high sales due to frontloading. If the game has very long legs and does very well despite lukewarm initial reception, then that would be a success. If the game is very frontloaded and has very strong first week and first month sales but they taper off quickly, that would still be a success. (Just talking generalities here)

Which game would you like global data for during week 1? I will go look it up for you. I do know though this is the biggest 1st week for ND in history.

See my edit.

That's not how it works. If information is not released, it can't be produced from thin air. I don't want Chartzzz estimates either, they are oftentimes off by significant margins.

But how do you knwo the legs will not be good? You can't really say that. Not saying it it isn't possible but to say you know that the legs won't be good and that is the basis on why you think the first week sales were not bad is just crazy man. Again let's ignore the future and what could be....AS OF NOW lol it can not be disputed that these sales are amazing.

So you are saying since we don't have the exact internal numbers from these companies you can't be proven wrong? All sales sites give estimates...the closes we have to concrete is NPD and shipments. It just seems like a redirection to me man. But I will leave this be...time will tell how the legs look for the game. I hope you enjoy your copy when you get it! Really is a great game...ESPECIALLY the second half of the game!

How are you guys still debateing this?

Look at the sales prediction thread, for uncharted.
Everyone more or less was guessing between 1.5m - 2.5m first week sales.

It did 2.7m without counting the bundles (with bundles its gotta be over 2.8m)
Thats way better than almost everyone here predicted it would do.

Halo 5, did about 1.46m first week by estimates right?
This is almost twice as much.

And it did this in May.
Frekking May, which is generally not the fastest selling month for software.

Uncharted games have historically always had long legs.
It stands to reason, that the same would be true for this game.

Uncharted 1-3, sold like 21-22m across 3 games = avg of 7m+.
The collection (1-3) sold like 3-4m.

If you count the collection ontop of the first 3 games, theres like 10m of all 3 versions out there.
(ofc some double dipped, and got both the collection and the normal versions, but roughly).

Uncharted 4, is going to sell more than 10m.
And it looks to be off to a good start.

None of that is debateble in my opinion.

Uncharted 4 is beasting. The series has hit new heights. Bring on crash bandicoot ps4 this year hopefully and then the last of us 2 in 2018. Good times ahead. Not to mention the single player dlc for uncharted 4

One thing which might boost sales quite a lot later this year: GOTY Edition + Neo release. Imagine Uncharted 4 at 1080p/60FPS with all DLC on the Neo, that could move some copies.

Not sure what you mean by Neo release, Neo games won't have separate retail releases afaik. But if you mean an extra marketing push to coincide with the Neo, advertizing Neo specific graphical features, then I see what you mean.

Once the formalities of "Congrats Naughty Dog xDD :DDD" and other nonsense was out of the way, I noticed that many NeoGAF members share the sentiment that sales are a bit lower than expected or, dare I say, disappointing, and these are not trolls or juniors, these are sales age regulars.

Not sure why everybody is so staunchly opposed to the notion that Uncharted 4 may have underperformed. Is it so strange to think that perhaps a PlayStation exclusive could outperform an Xbox exclusive like Halo or Gears? Despite the massive success of the console and Sony's best efforts, Uncharted 4 still failed to perform above or on par with either of these games, or many of the multiplatform games of this gen and last.

Random forum dwellers=know better than Sony who were happy enough to make a blog post about the sale numbers. "sale age regulars"=mostly pessimists. Try going to the Media Create threads, every week "console am doomed"

So 2.7 ml sold through (about $160 ml in sales) in one week for a console exclusive now is underperforming. Why? because some "senior" whatever at NeoGAF said so. All right then, keep smoking that stuff.

Forum sage sensei are knowledge itself bruhh.

10 million, here we come!
