I hate to do this but...

You know, at times, Quantum Break pulled this off, too. It didn't have the variety of U4 nor the rain, mud, gravel etc but there were definitely several moments where I paused and said "This looks too good!"

U4 is really on another level but it's not the only game that could possibly fool people with a screenshot.

I wasn't expecting to be as impressed as I am by this game, even being a huge ND and UC fan, but it really looks downright incredible on my new TV. I'm on chapter 10 or 11, I believe. I also got the Nathan Drake Collection and TLoU Remastered for good measure and to give ND as much money as possible...

They're very good at what they do and the game is rather linear. That combination can yield some great graphics.

Not sure that screenshot is all THAT impressive though... I suppose the leaves look nice but the water and texture are meh.

They try, where others seem to be like, meh, let's just give it a ton of multiplayer stuff instead.

There were few "open world" parts that looked as good if not better than some of the linear parts. That screenshot in the Op wasn't amazing. The rain (in photo mode) was just a 2D sheet. It still looks good but there are tons of moments that looked better, imo.

Someone pointed out that they need some sort of limitation in order for it to be as optimized as possible. In other words the PS4 can do way more than a similarly speced PC because it can be optimized on a level that PC games cannot.  So while they are brilliant,  being on a closed platform really helps.

It's why all PC games look like garbage forver would be my guess.
