MGS5 ranks pretty high in best looking 7th gen games, BUT they cut corners on resolution (soft picture), draw distance, and frame rate struggles. GTAV is more polished.

While I don't dispute that it's more polished, GTA5 has some pretty considerable framerate problems of its own.

True, but GTAV still has better graphics, higher resolution, more stable frame rate, etc.

Agreed. I just personally wouldn't call GTA5 one of 360's best looking games.

Yeah, its an open world game so obviously it can't have better graphics than games that focus on less like Forza, Gears, etc.

Probably the overall most impressive game on 7th gen though. Its pretty amazing what it did with old hardware.

I always found Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2 immensly impressive on last gen, overall I think Grand Theft Auto 5 is a clear winner on the XBox360 and The Last of us has the crown overall last gen

Yeah, its technical accomplishments are insane considering the size and detail of the world it managed to get running on circa 2005 hardware.

It did pay for it in the performance stakes though, and for me personally, I wouldn't consider a game that spends so much of its time below 30fps to be a graphical top dog.

It doesn't run as bad as you imply. But even then, this is best GRAPHICS, right?

Maybe we should consider 60 fps games like Rage, Black Ops II, and Forza 4 if we're gonna focus on performance as well.

Framerate falls under "graphics" with me, as how smooth something runs plays a big part in how visually pleasing I find it.

Rise of the tomb raider

Gears Judgement was the best looking 360 game imo. It looked a little softer than Gears 3 and perhaps a smaller game, but the lighting, textures and character models were fantastic.

Rise of The Tomb Raider is also up there along with Halo 4, the best three looking games on the 360.
