Okay. Thanks for the advice :)

FE:DS is out in Japan in a week now. Shouldn't we know the American release date?

A bit new data from the site.

There are 6 difficulity settings. Hard and Normal. 5 hard ones.

The number of enemies will always be the same. However, their strengths won't.

In hard, reinforcements will come in, and then be able to attack. This seems totally nutty to me, but then again, I'm me :P

Pegasi Knights evolve to Dragon Knights, like in the original.

Lord's can't class swap.

1: Probably OK by everyone, but then again, there will always be people who bitch about FE being too easy when it's not harder than Thracia 776 (looks at GameFAQs).

2: That's the same system that was used in FE6 - and it was BS. Especially in those few cases where the game rear-ended you with 5 paladins without any advance warning. Ergo, there were much restartings. At least it's not present in all difficulty levels.

3: What's wrong with Falco Knights and Wyvern Riders/Lords?

Oh, and is there any info about the game's Support system?

No support facts as far as I know.

Famitsu reviewed it! 34/40 9-8-8-9

Radiant Dawn got 33 only

Sacred Stones got 9-9-9-8 though, so not as good as that (but fairly even. Might be drawn down due to being a remake)

Path of Radiance got a 8-8-9-9

First FE on GBA also got 8-8-9-9

Also, Class Swap isn't always there. Only chapter 4 and out. How long is it though?

WiFi looks alot better than I thought it would!

Another thing. In the prologue, you have to kill one of your own characters. You can never get him back.

Are you kidding me? That's a bit stupid.

Another thing, I've began playing Age of Diplomacy. It's a fan made FE game, where you control your empire. It's a blast. Try it out. http://www.nabataproductions.com/aod/aod.php?action=status

Does that count as advertising? Because if it does, I'll take  it out.

The Jap preview says the DS FE sold 150K first week. If it has DS legs, it should make 400K at least. It will be the best WW of FEs probably.

I got Sacred Stones and PoR off amazon uk really cheap.

Sacred stones is even better than Ratiant Dawn. PoR lacks way too many interesting stuffs. I've got FE GBA ordered.

So FE:DS opened with ~ 150K in Japan, according to the preview.

That's pretty awesome.

FE:RD sold 170K there lifetime. It opened with 70K.

PoR opened with 100K, so it looks like DS is doing a good job. With a bit DS ish legs, 500K is possible.

The GBA ones sold 290K, 300K and 390K in Japan.

So, I'd say FE DS has a good potential of a million seller WW. Best selling FF is now a shoe in, if it's localized.

In other news, I bought Sacred stones and PoR. PoR may very well have the best story ever in a video game. Other than that, it's not as good as RD, but story is very important to me, so atm they are about even.

Sacred stones is very different from RD, and that's cool. It's not totally as good as the other two though, as it's a bit less strategic and a bit more repetitive.

So now, FE has my 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in strategy games. Didn't see that one comming.

Edit: Are you freaking kidding me? We posted at the exact same minute, several days after the last post, posting pretty much the same?

Would just like to post that I just beat radiant dawn and it was amazing. I Found my best character without a doubt was shinron. I forged him a sick bow from the beginning and had him stomping out guys. Also haar, tibarn, and bastian were my strongest at the end.

thread is alive again! Yeah RD is good. Not as epic as PoR, but very enjoyable.

Ok continue discussion like there wasnt an 8 month break.

Woah, I haven't seen this thread in a while.........perhaps I should finish my 2nd play through.......
