Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft is focusing more on old games rather than new games.

Microsoft's software output?

Good, I'm not complaining. 47 20.35%

Not bad, but they can do better. 50 21.65%

Bad, I'm not happy. 134 58.01%

Total:231

MS is fighting a war of attrition. Many 360 owners are splitting in favor towards PS4, BC is really only meant keep people locked into the Xbox ecosystem.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I'm not saying M$'s output is anywhere near Sony's but jeez! I see people saying games like Onechanbara Z (which i actually bought on day one despite being like a 29% on Metacritic at the time!) counts when comparing consoles or a port like Gravity Rush (which I also bought!) or an indie game like Resogun (which I got for free) is a system seller. Meanwhile games like Quantum Break aren't important because it didn't sell well or Cuphead is not retail and only retail games are important!

Maybe I'm not seeing the right threads but it seems like people want M$ to suck and the narrative will always switch to support it. I mean, get it. Ps4 is more powerful, sells better, has more games, had higher rated games, and has pretty much every advantage. Jeez! You won !

Sea of Theives had been lauded since day one. People wanted Rare to make something different. You can't find a single "Sea of Thieves is going to be awesome" thread. It's still a game . It still exists. It still counts and hopefully, when it releases, it will be good.

Wow, your brutal!

If you follow the Xbox Official Thread you can find a review of mine of Quantum Break, which i loved.

I also made a thread about how Rise of the Tomb Raider is a Masterpiece.

It is ridiculous to rhink that im betting against the X1 when i actually own the console, and buy most exclusives Day One at full price.

But nobody can hide the fact that, even tho according to Phil Spencer this year will top last years "Best Line-Up in Xbox History", i cant help but be preocupied about the current exclusive situation of the console.

It is having Wii U like droughts for its exclusives and it is getting annoying for me as a consumer.

Also, i find extremely dumb to hype games without knowing anything about it.

You will NEVER see me hyping anything Sony without knowing better. I actually had plenty of discussions with fellow PS fans about the PS4 NEO, so i dont think that im the one that drink anybodys Kool Aids.

For me personally, Quantum Break + Gears of War 4 = best lineup in Xbox history.

If they don't completely mess up with Gears that is, but after the beta I find it unlikely.

I know. I checked your threads before commenting (I thought you were the guy making those "True exclusives" threads). Everything I said didn't apply to you but does apply to people in this thread.

I'm extremely happy with my XBO but constructive criticism is always welcome. This thread feels like a professional hit! It's crazy. I went into one thread this morning at about 1am and it was locked because somebody said something like "Uncharted is too shallow butTomb Raider (which comes to ps4 in a few months!) had just the right amount of challenge.

I disagree with that statement because U4 is waaaaaaaaaaay more balanced than the previous three and only offers hints when I'm sucking --and even then, they're optional. That comment got a thread locked and was nowhere near as venomous as some of the comments in this thread.

I don't drink Kool Aid, either. I just like what I like. I always have. Some people seem to go out of there way to attack something that others like. It's not enough to win. They have to humiliate their opponents.

Stop acting brand new. We all know Microsoft releases their games in the fall/winter. Sony releases before E3 usually. Microsoft tends to always rule the fall and winter as far as releases and they like capitalize on the holidays. Thread done really.

Everytime i see Cobalt on a list, i cant help but LOL

Talk about a list filler with that 67 Meta Rated game that lets be honest here, nobody cares.

Also, Sea of Thieves is the kind of game that appears on every list available when people are talking about Xbox One exclusives, but i see that game underperforming when it actually releases.

If the game actually underperforms, we will for sure see here how Sea of Thieves was never hyped, that nobody even talked about it, etc.

(Project Spark, im looking at you)

I agree and disagree. I think you're totally right about people moving goalposts to match the "Miscrosoft sucks" narrative. Indie games count, except when they don't. Remasters and console exclusives aren't eligible, but sometimes they are. Sales numbers only count when Metacritic scores support them, or vice versa.

At this point, I don't even care what people think. I just want some damn consistency.

That said, I have no clue what Microsoft is doing. It seems to be mismanaging its studios and assets, focusing more and more on Windows, and turning Xbox into a "service." This is not what I signed up for.

Gears Of War 4, Recore, Sea Of Thieves, Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3

2nd half of year is going to be amazing for Xbox.

Wii U and Xbox One are basically in the same situation when it comes to first party games.

The only difference is that the X1 actually has Multiplat games, Thank God to that.

BUT, as a PS4 owner myself (this would work the same way for PC owners), i only play on my X1 for its exclusives. Which sadly, i had to learn the hard way that they are few and faaaar between. Again, just like the Wii U. Huuuuuuuge Exclusive droughts.

So if you ask me today, of course im not happy with the console. I just barely play it as it is and i already played the exclusives that interested me.

I refuse to buy an inferior version of a Multiplat for the X1 if i have a PS4. It would be silly of me to Pity Buy a multiplat just to use the console and justify my investment.

I will wait because...what else? But if the only relevant exclusive of this year that remains is Gears4, i will sell my X1 in order to buy the PS4 NEO.

Bro, you reading my mind or what? I feel exactly the same except selling my xbone part. I have 27 ps4 games and 3 xbone games. I wont sell it because im a collector and because im still waiting on some kind of exclusive im interested in besides sunset overdrive.
