Not that the minority parties had any real power to begin with. The Liberals have a pretty strong majority in the house, 184/338, and MPs usually vote for party policy anyways.

Well, I can't really say much since I was 17 at the time of the elections and as such was not even able to vote, but this is what one day democracy does. We really need to move towards direct democracy over representative democracy. The Liberal Party should not have been able to get over 50% of the seats with less than 40% of the vote.
