Wii u sales are very interesting to watch from now on, since we have a release time frame for the NX  ( plus, to see if its consistet with Nintendo's low aim of 800k wii u for this fiscal year worldwide, which is either  a sign of supply constraining or utter pessimism or a combination of these) !  Is 4k so bad when taking into account the recent official news for NX? What's your opinion?

Not really. I'm a firm believer of next week being the worst ever, however if you do some check to tomorrow's releases there will be quite a bit so I don't think the worst will be an applicable word here. It will be the second, or third worst though.

imo 4k is pretty bad. You could say it's not bad *considering it's the Wii U* and that it hasn't had any noteworthy games release in quite a while (Star Fox Zero is evidently not noteworthy, judging by sales), but in the end, I still think 4k is bad . I mean, the PS3 did ~4k quite a few weeks last year, and it released in 2006, and was replaced by the PS4 in 2014.

Of course, it could have done better if Nintendo would've shipped the damn thing, but it is what it is.

Consoles like the ps4 don't have sustained droughts in its third year.  That's why they are so successful.  

 

At the rate it gets games releasing you can pretty much call a drought month am exception rather than the rule.

Frankly, I'm unsure how much that has influenced sales for the general public. It might have had a big effect, or it might not have. Like I said, I'm not sure.

When does ratchet and clank release in Japan? My guess Sony were holding it back for the drought in June or July. Have they said anything?

Makes sense.  Where did you hear this?  Id say a lot of Japanese bought the game digitally on foreign stores
