Forums - General Discussion - So I "lost" my job today

"But do not worry about me"

OK

....but seriously, i have a friend in IT and he just came out of a few weeks in psychiatric care because of his depressions he developed because of the pressure and unfair conditions of his last job assignment.

Be glad you got out when you did.

Good luck with your next job.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Losing a job is just an opportunity to find a better one. I've worked all over the country from Maine to California. When a job goes belly up, I usually pack up and move somewhere new. I actually like moving around and get sick of living in the same place too long.

Enjoy your extended vacation time.

This.

I'm actually happy at you, OP. Even if losing a job is bad, losing a bad job is good. No job is worth with the conditions you were explaining to us. Good luck!

It does sound like it was for the best in the long run. I've personally found that a great job can be ruined by awful coworkers, while even a bad job can be made fun if your team is great. Coworkers really make a huge difference.

Anyways, glad to see you're keeping a positive attitude. Good luck finding your next job!

Dude, wth, we IT guys normally are very chill and have the same kind of interests, and that normally makes social interaction among us very easy... These dudes maybe werent mean to be IT, thats why they Eff'ed up the network multiple times... Anyway, good luck and hope you find a job with better collegues.

Good luck!

But also lucky timing if you're playing games like UC4 and Valkyria Chronicles Remaster =P

It's actually really great timing. Mirror's Edge is coming up as well as E3 and the Euro 2016. Not to mention my gigantic anime backlog. So the new Job better don't come too soon^^

I know right? My last job I had I was getting along great with all the other IT guys. We had a lot of fun even when the job was stressful. It didn't even matter if you were a trainee or a manager, everyone was part of one big team across multiple cities.

I would go back there but going back to a job you once quit is never a good idea.
