Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Pokemon Series honestly pisses me off

The AI is the real goddamn issue. They are borderline retarded (stupid, not mentally disabled), rarely do they use their type advantages, switch out pokemon or throw in some healing items from time to time to spice things up a bit. They just use leer 10 times and hope you die of smashing the A button or tapping the screen.

Seriously Nintendo, let's work on those "trainers"

Everyone's been complaining for difficulty settings for what seems like ages now. But really what would that encompass? Higher levels on the trainers? Less opportunities to grind? People want a hard mode but never say what they would change.
Also if you really do want a challenge, online is your best bet. Same for really any multiplayer focused game these days.

Honestly I'd be satisfied with just an exponential higher difficulty for all trainers/gym leaders/elite 4 ect.

I agree that these games need difficulty modes.

I agree with the dificulty lvl. It's too easy, and lets not forget, this game have huge strategy elements in it, so all gamefreak need to do is increase the AI a little bit

Clearly, the Pokemon series just isn't for you.

Nah fam that's not true. I love me some Poke-manz.

Just make it catered toward my age or add an extra difficulty. I'm sure it's not that hard to add in. All I'm asking. The kids can still get theirs ya know?

I'd really appreciate a difficulty toggle too, the game is just too easy. And multiplayer is not an excuse for having an easy game, I play Pokémon for the singleplayer experience, not for some artificial post-game content =P

Funny enough I find more challenge in Pokemon game than I do Final Fantasy game (well 13). (Outside of secret things that you have to go out of your way to do).

I understand it's a series aimed at younger kids... but come on.

Literally zero games have catered to the faithful who supported the original games. Zero. It's rediculous. The game are EXTREMELY easy. No challenge for the *core*/older gamer.

I mean, I'm only 22, but I really would like a more difficult and matured up Pokemon game for once. At the VERY least add a freakin difficulty option. How hard can that be? Literally have two modes. The normal mode; and a difficult mode that scales up all pokemon by like 5% (idk just an option)

The story can even stay the corny same with the writing that 5 year olds understand. Just make the game more diffucult.

Just a little rant. And don't give me that "oh well it's online and that's where the real pokemon gamers go" BS. I play single player Pokemon. Ain't nobody got time for that next gen online crap.

lmao over here. XD

Well, I can't disagree with you. The newer Pokemon games are more accessible which makes them easier.But... where I differ is I don't really play Pokemon for in-game difficulty. I love the story, as bare bones as it is, the environments, music, and gameplay. It's always been solid in these areas. The challenges are mainly from real world players but overall, I would love extra content after the main game that really challenges your skill. It's what Pokemon should be about after all.

I'm probably one of the few that like the decrease in difficulty..
