PS4 welcomes Nathan Drake to the next generation as ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ debuts at No1.

It’s both the first and final new adventure to arrive on PS4 for developer Naughty Dogs’ flagship series (although the remastered trilogy came to PS4 in October last year). In terms of debut week sales ‘Uncharted 4’ is by far the most successful launch in the series beating ‘Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception debut week by 66%. It marks an excellent few weeks for Sony with their platform exclusives (Ratchet & Clank (-50% now at No4 being the other) taking the crown in 3 of the last 4 weeks. Bethesda Softworks ‘Doom’ also arrives this week comfortably making its debut at No2. It’s the first outing on PS4 and Xbox One for the series and another strong debut with sales up 67% on Doom 3. ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops III’ (-46%) makes way for the new releases dropping a place to No3. A pair of former chart topping titles in Ubisoft’s ‘Tom Clancy’s: The Division’ (-32%) and ‘Far Cry Primal’ (-33%) sit at No5 and No6 respectively. Strong sales for ‘Star Wars Battlefront’ (+28%) ensure it climbs back in to the Top 10 at No10 after a two week absence.

Uncharted 4 (190K) > Halo 5 (150K)

Well, it seems that that single bad review didn't stop Uncharted in any way, didn't it? Great start for the game, and good numbers for Doom too. Youkai Watch will be out of the list next week, I don't know if its european performance is what Nintendo expected.

Damn Uncharted always has great legs and the opening is way bigger than Uncharted 3. This game is a serious contender for the 10 million mark. Ratchet and Clank still doing great as well so what was this nonsense about Sony games not selling well. Almost every single on sold more than a million copies. And most are going or already are above the 2 million mark.

Uncharted 4 > Halo 5 and Quantum Break combined. (first week of course).

Great news for Uncharted 4, also glad to see Ratchet & Clank still holding strong at #4.

The promotion for uncharted is off the roof, reviews are really good, this is going to be a system seller for the rest of the year, what a game, well deserved.

Uncharted 4 has been on the 1st place in the Amazon (US) charts for 12 days now.

No other game has done this this gen, multiplat or exclusive. That is nuts.

This game is the epitome of a franchise going UP in popularity AND sales worldwide.

Just like Ratchet and Clank, both games will be the best selling games in their respective franchise.
