Where is the petition to remove the perfect 10s?

This. It's sad that people fixate on the low numbers and shout about integrity or "click bait" and insult the person writing those reviews, but when games get 10's and high 9's it's extremely rare for someone to question it. A websites integrity can be just as tainted by a high score as a low score. A high scoring review can also be click bait.

Also, I've seen a lot of people shitting on the content of the review, even going as far as to claim it's satire. To me it just reads like a review by someone who is either tired of the Uncharted/Naughty Dog game formula, or was never a fan in the first place. That might lead some to question why he was reviewing it in the first place, but it's not uncommon for a writer to review a particular game even if they are not a fan of the franchise or genre. There was similar fuss with some site recently and Quantum Break. Reading the review, it actually touched on a few of the criticisms I have always had about the franchise. Personally I would have liked more in depth writing about what made it a 4 out of 10 in his book, but not having read any of his other reviews, that just might be his style.

And multiple people in the thread have pointed out that developers salaries/bonuses are tied to MC scores and have used this information as if to imply it assigns some sort of responsibility or blame towards the reviewer or MC itself. Like.. these scores mean money to developers, they need to do a better job reviewing them or tallying the scores. That's bullsh. If ND misses a bonus because Uncharted 4 might end up at 93 instead of 94, the only two entities to blame are Sony for including something so stupid in the contract, and most importantly ND themselves for agreeing to it.

Maybe there was some miscommunication regarding the review and its score. For what its worth, there have been other reviews by that site posted on MC and given bad scores even though the review has no score.

and what perfect 10 reviews are clickbait and wrong? how did you like uncharted 4 would it get a good score from you?

I'd like to point out to detractors that the real problem here is that a score was not given in this review, and that the Post actually released another review later with an actual score attached.

Skimming the review, I can also say that this writer doesn't really know what makes a game good, or at very least doesn't understand how to review games objectively for the purpose of recommending them. This review is no better than User Score garbage reviews. He barely discusses gameplay, and instead rants about how much he dislikes the story and the detail. He's completely missed the point of gaming, and his review should come down for the simple fact that it's not a game review: It's a movie review.

YEAH! Stifle that freedom of speech! No one needed that anyways!

This has to be one of the most ridiculous petitions I've seen in a while. Do you honestly have nothing better to do with your life, rather than to obsess over the percentile of an incredibly high meta score?

Easy question: Did you like the game? If the question to that answer is yes, you shouldn't even give a shit about any rewiews at all, let alone meta scores. If you need validation of your own opinion that desperately you should work on your self esteem, not create pointless petitions.

Rewiews are for people who don't know if they will like a piece of media and are trying to make a buying decision off of them. They are not some kind of circle wank for people validating their choice in console, exclusives and general taste in games.

Lastly if you want to strike the lowerst scores from a meta, you have to strike the highest too, otherwise you don't arrive at a fair estimate.

4 out of 10 is ridiculous, no matter how you slice it. Dick move.

I don't think the problem is the game getting a bad review. Everyone has different tastes and standards, and the fact that, out of 91 reviews at the time of this comment only ONE is negative (all of the rest are way above 75) is a testament to the quality of the game.

The petition shouls be about changing the rules and regulations of Metacritic. If I'm not mistaken, the reviewers with the most likes have more weight when scoring a game, and that might send the wrong message, and it's not fair for the newer review sites. But by focusing this on the Washington Post review, this petition is making an ass of itself, because it looks like it can't take bad criticism even when the game is overwhelmingly loved.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I was going to buy this game but now that its MC score has fallen from 94 to 93 I've decided it must not be worth it. Yeah, right!

Troy baker tweeted it so I am sure it will get the amount of signatures, it is a really unobjective score obviously, even if you would personally not like this game any good reviewer can see its not a 4, its above average even if you hated the story or disliked the gameplay or whatever, there is so much done well and some things exceptional.

I signed it because a 4 is just..... if it was a 6.5 or something I would have said "everyone is entitled to their opinion" even tough I liked this game a lot.

What a sad individual to make such a pointless petition. Metacritic has always sucked, there will always be bad reviews or reviews that you disagree if. If you don't like it then DON'T READ METACRITIC. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if we think it is childish and idiotic, we don't live in a dictatorship (at least I don't) where we need to be told what to think or write.

Negative!

That was not an opinion, that was not a Review;  it was a Joke or utter gargabe, one of the two; so it must me removed.  Quality control ;)

Isn't it also freedom of speech that every person (in this case every gamer) has the right to express their opinion against this review if they don't like it?

and as far as I know this petition isn't created to ban all low scores uncharted 4 will get, but was created to "... Also , he never gave the game a rating in his review , so the 40/100 should either be removed from the metascore or added to his review. Things must be cleared"

Fun fact: signing this petition takes less time than writing your comment so I guess you also have to much freetime^^ wanna do something together?
