No but its a better option than an always online console plus I rather have both.

I need a physical copy so it feels like I own it, same with books. Books more so tough as I like the act of holding and turning the pages.

Most certainly. I haven't bought a single physical copy of a game yet this generation. It's super easy to access and change between games, you can game share between friends to get more value from each copy of the game, plus there are plenty of great digital deals both via the console store and digital download copies from places like Amazon.

As someone who enjoys collecting the physical boxes of games I'd say no and also for every collector out there going full digital is a nightmare not only that but we'd need at least 10tb hard drives

If it has a decent lineup of exclusive games then maybe. If it's a multiplat machine then I'd rather buy physical copies elsewhere.

It also depends how the account and storefront is handled, as well as pricing.

Home console: NO
Portable console: Possibly

The Reason I own a PS4, WII-u next to my PC is the boxes, else the PC alone would be enough

No. I don't like the idea of being locked into system were publishers can dictate prices.

So, you mean a PC? Sure. I already own one.

For game consoles, absolutely not unless there is plenty of hard drive space for it (like 1-2 TB).

Wouldn't be my optimal choice since I like being able to have a physical copy of my games.
