Pretty straightforward question. If you found out today that the next iteration of your console of choice will be digital only, but the other two consoles won't be, would you still buy the console from your prefered console brand?

I'll give my opinion in a bit, I don't want to sway people one way or another.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Yes. I might go digital next time around anyway. I felt this gen was just a bit too early for me (back in 2013)

I already surpassed digital & use streaming for music & movies. I'm not attached to physical media

However, I think we should have a physical option for those who want it. More choice is a good thing

Depending on a lot of things. It should be significantly cheaper than the version that gets physical games, not restrictive memories, price of the games...

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Absolutely. I'm pretty much already all digital as it stands and haven't bought a physical disc game since I got ACU used for like $20. That's the only disc game I have on the PS4 and as of my last count I think I have like 30 games.

I am actually looking forward to a console that does away with the disc drive and gives us an M.2 pcie port and drive instead. will probably have to wait till 2020 before we see those in a console but yh, can't imagine why anyone will still choose to get up and change discs everytime they wanna change a game unless they don't have a choice.

Only if it is a Nintendo-console

Yes, definitely! If current consoles didn't have a disc drive they would be either cooler or smaller, maybe even both.

Nope. I have not bought digital (full game or DLC).

Yeah I probably would. However, I'd probably wait longer to buy games because of sales though.

I have no problem buying all my PC games digitally. Providing it comes with a decent storage capacity, relatively, and the prices of games are in line with retail (which they don't tend to be, in the UK at least) I'd be more than happy to go all digital. I'd probably go all digital now if we got better prices.

Don't ruin the moment

I'm already digital only on PC, so I have no problem with it. Would be tough to give up selling my Nintendo games when I'm done with them though, they don't lose much value and in some cases the prices even go up (Bought Bayonetta 2 for R$200 when it came out, now it sells for R$260-R$300 used lol).
