No, i'm not. Just don't pay attention to most gaming news stories, and you'll be fine.

Because I sure as hell am.

Every day I've seen mostly bad news stories and stupid rumors about gaming in general. Makes me wonder why I even bother.

I would loose hope also If I read all these stories. just dont read them. there are good and REALLY REALLY bad websites and "reviewers" and "journalists".

Just enjoy.

Follow a developer, because this is way better to hear it firsthand than to hear the stuff someone writes with their opinions taked on it. It probably sucks.

I am playing Uncharted 4 now, and think its one of the best games ever created and there are probably a bunch of articles out there that shit on the game but why should I care?

Just play on :))

Nope 2016 is gonna be the best year for games in a long time. Uncharted, Ratchet, Trackmania Turbo, Stellaris, Overwatch, GT Sport, No Man Sky, Civilization 6.

I'm having a great time. And while Nintendo's been floundering around with their home console business I have a huge amount of 3ds games in backlog as I only just picked one up.

Am I losing faith in gaming? A little bit. I mean, every big company is getting greedier and greedier. Capcom even lowered itself to the level of EA. Nintendo just delayed the NX until march, and forced bad motion controls onto the last good Wii U exclusive. This means Nintendo fans will have to wait a year and a half for a AAA console game from Nintendo.

On the other hand... The PS4 has only been out for two and a half years. There are ten games on it with good metacritic scores. Four of those games are exclusive. Last gen lasted seven years. That means the PS5 probably won't come out until 2020. By then the PS4 library could easily be as big as the PS3 library.

I lost faith in gaming when third parties treated the best selling system like crap in gen 7.

I LOVE ICELAND!

lol.... enlightening thread. Pretty telling that majority of the people that agree were primarily Nintendo gamers.

Anyways no I haven't. in truth I haven't been more excited about gaming in a long time. FF1 , Persona, Horizon, GT sport, VR, bloodborne, TLG, Uncharted.....etc. I'm having a blast.

Why would i lose faith in gaming?

Im in a stage of my life where i can have the luxury of buying any game i want (thanks to God) and i have enjoyed the 8th gen very much because of this. Im not limited by any console, currently i have a PS4 and X1 and there are more games to play that i have time for, and thats a great thing.

This gen has been amazing for me, better than the last one for sure.

I can imagine that Wii U owners would feel hopelessness because of the looooong droughts of the console, but thats not gamings fault, just Nintendos.

I was losing faith last generation. The indie boom and Renaissance of Japanese games making it West again are restricting it slowly.

It was more for me don't want to only have fps online games to play.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I had been for several years. I realized it wasn't gaming itself, but the games I was progressing to that were starting to interest me less and less. I've since realized gaming is just significantly more broad now than it was before, so you really just need to know what you are looking for.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

You must be joking. The resurgence of Japan and indie renaissance brings gaming closer to its glory days  than the last 10 years. Gaming hasn't ever been this exciting in the awful PS360Wii days.

Of course, if you're only a Nintendo and Xbox gamer, the last few weeks have been nothing but disappointing news with delays, studio closures etc, game cancelations, no Nintendo at E3 etc so it may seem that gaming is getting worse for you.

But as a multi platform owner and primarily on PS4, gaming is AWESOME.
