Games themselves, not at all actually. In fact, I've been getting more into gaming than I ever have in the past.

Depends on your platform of choice. From my observation, I see people losing faith in Nintendo and Microsoft.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

I was asking relative to you ...

Let's just drop this, it's getting nowhere and I don't want to get anymore irritated about it than I already am ...

I have noticed that the people that are more jaded and see the gaming industry behind an apocaliptic point of view, are mostly Microsoft and Nintendo fans.

Nintendo is in one side, trying to strike a second Wii with a "Miracle Gimmick" mixing their handheld and home console business, while Microsoft is fusioning their PC and console business in order to beat Steam AND Playstation.

Meanwhile there is Sony having success with the PS4 with the most straight forward console available.

No Tablet Controller, no All in One TV integration, nothing at all.

Just a semi-powerful run of the mill Videogame Home Console.

I myself are the total opposite of the chaotic vision of some, im LOOOVING this gen.

Tons of games, Tons of genres, No droughts at all, Great Back Catalog, Great future.

Except for all the times when they do. Which people like you conveniently ignore to fit your narrative.

Kind of like how everyone bought watchdogs for the Wii U.

RE4, De Blob, Guitar Hero 3 (sold the best of the 7 gen systems on Wii), COD 3 (outsold the PS3 version). We've been over this a thousand times and I'm fucking sick of having to explain this to people over and over again. Third parties sold fine on Wii while they still tried. Before they disenfranchised the base. There are more than enough counter examples to disprove your point. End of discussion.

I LOVE ICELAND!

I respectfully disagree. I don't think it's a split between Sony and Nintendo/Microsoft gamers. I think it's a generational split. I think there's a widening gulf between those who think gaming has never been better and those who think gaming is in decline.

This, more or less.

Ive lost faith in Nintendo since about the last half of the wiis life cycle. Ive also lost a bit of faith in some of my fav video game devs however... i have found faith in many many others. So no i havent lost faith completely. Im actually super excited for gaming, the times change as do i so im very interesting in the new things being done.
