Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Emily Rogers: NX not gonna use X86 architecture, raw power close to XBO

On the other hand, the Wii was basically just a repackaged GameCube with a new control scheme and it sold over 100 million. Like somebody above stated...It better have one hell of a gimmick.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

Even in this miracle scenario, Sony/MS would copy whatever wundercontroller Nintendo would have fairly quickly this time. They all remember the Wiimote and they both made good money off the Move and especially MS with Kinect. Nintendo would not have a four year window again with something like that to themselves.

It is very usefull to spend energy and time to discuss these kind of things while knowing absolutely nothing about the NX and history showing 90%+ of all rumors being incorrect.

Let's wait and see huh?

I dont care about power. So its fine by me.

It's going to be kinda sad when Sony has two consoles more powerful than Nintendo's "new" one.

This is just so easy for Sony, it's like a 7th grader playing basketball against 5 year olds, the competition really isn't even making Sony sweat for the win.

It's gotta be portable, if it's a home console, Nintendo damn well better have some miracle gimmick.

i think emily rogers is full of shit

Preorder cancelled. Anyway, Im not surprised. I already knew it'd be a 900p machine (see sig).

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Is Emily Rogers confirmed to really be a girl? I've never heard about a woman that is interested in computer hardware.

Well, it's always a good idea to not assume that a girl isn't interested in something just because of her gender. I don't know why you would question her sex just because she likes computers.

What?! Of course I assume stuff because of gender. Didn't I just reason why? I have never heard of a woman even remotely interested in computer hardware, so a specialist like Emily Rogers is extremely rare, no matter your politically correct fantasy wishes.

Well a nintendo console with the Xone power will be nice... this gen still has 4 years maybe 5 of life....

Believe me. I wasnt trying to say it was a good idea if that was indeed what they were doing. Even for Nintendo, catching lightening in a bottle twice doesnt seem very likely. On the point of Sony and MS copying whatever they eventually bring to market is the reason Nintendo is aiming for 2017 instead of this year. They want to see the others cards first.
