wasn't this meant to be like a better version of LBP? I saw it a few months ago at the game store in the bargain bin. They had about 30 copies all selling for $1 AUD so around 50 cents American.

I picked up a copy for $0.01 AUD when Target had their clearance.

Looks like I still overpaid.

I remember how hyped people were for this

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

That's still a ripoff since the game was FREE to download since day one.

Really? I wonder why they bothered releasing it physically lol

By buying it physically you had access to all the tool creation contents, which some would be blocked if you download the free version.

And very, VERY hyped.

What happens in bizarro isn't relevant in our universe. I think people confuse interest with hype.

Anyhow, Project Spark was actually pretty cool. But I guess Roblox is similar and appears to be more robust in features.

Bottom line, both Sony and MS have clearly lost interest in online focused gaming. Sony sold SOE, MS cancelled Fable Legends. The bubble has popped inspite of some exceptions.

Not, even remotely close to the truth...  Are forgetting MM is currently developing DREAMS??

Besides, this is not a thread about Sony.  Why bring thm up??

Out of touch. Keyword for Microsoft game development.

What do they have left? That thing with the headphones guy commanding dragons looks cool, but will not sell anything since Platinum games are niche. Fable Legends was such a miscalculation to even greenlight it, horrible! Quantum Break flopped.

What else they got? Gears of War is obsolete. Crackdown 3 looks like shit and sales will be hurt when it's revealed that the cloud feature gimmick was a fake and doesn't help the game much. Sea of Thieves will be a flop of enormous proportions in relation to its high development cost.

What else exclusives are in the pipeline?

Xbox is in huge trouble. I'm afraid it will be deleted soon.

Project Spark seemed like a reactionary move rather than something that was born out of love. Like some suit saw Little Big Planet and the success of the play/create/share concept, then decided that they needed it too, but lacking any charm.

And yeah I think Sea of Thieves is gonna be the next flop.  People wanted a new 3D Platformer from Rare, not a multiplayer only title.

The problem with MS outside of productivity software is they have great ideas and do much better than the competition in many areas, but they have a terrible way to present and implement them... Outside of surface... They could have owned the mp3 business, the tablet business the phone and the console business if they weren't so unreactive at the worst possible time...

You know, as far as exclusive games are concerned, Microsoft has really failed. It seems like many of their projects get discontinued or are a disappointment (to me at least). The only exclusives that I've actually enjoyed from them are Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Horizon 2, and Massive Chalice...and I still haven't beaten any of them. The rest of their exclusive games have been mehish or worse for me.

In regards to Project Spark, I did give it a try but never got into it. Making maps was more work than I wanted it to be and playing other people's maps was kind of boring. I'm not surprised to see it get discontinued though since it pretty much fell off the map when it released.

I thought this happened months ago. LOL @ it being "very hyped".

Game was garbage. I saw copies at Walmart for 45 cents and still didn't bite.

The sad this is that this is the inevitable future for all online games. Some sooner. Some later. Eventually, even our favorite games will die. Try playing SSFII HD. Even with its servers running, it's dead. Other games like M.A.G. became nothing more than paperweight.
