I think Captain America has the best trilogy. X3 almost killed the X-Men movie franchise. Spider-Man 3 forced a reboot that wasn't very well received. Dark Knight Rises was such a mess that there hasn't been a continuation of that series. While CA: First Avenger stumbled out the gate, the trilogy got progressively better, with higher stakes and stronger influence on the MCU. There had to be 3 X-men-ish movies before The Last Stand was retconned, but Captain America is in a healthier position than any other superhero movie franchise. The others are on life support and if the new Spider-Man takes off, Civil War gets some of the credit for getting the hype train moving. A botched first movie is FAR better than a botched third.

The Dark Knight Rises made over a billion dollars and, even with its flaws, was still considered a critical success. TDKR didn't get a continuation becuase Nolan didn't want to make another one and Warner Bros saw the money Marvel was making off of its universe and wanted to do the same.

Yeah pretty much, I'm sure WB would've loved to have Nolan and Bale do a 4th Batman movie for them, but once they both moved on Warner wanted in on that "superhero super team" monies.

I'm glad to see Nolan's Batman winning :D

Nolan did such a good job at making Batman seem POSSIBLE that its pretty incredible. I'd love to see him do a Superman trilogy or something, because while he would be forced (obviously) to retain a virtually invincible superhoro, I think he would do a lot better job than some others have at bringing him down to Earth and make his behavior and plotlines more believable

you need to take a superhero and make them relatable and no one has really done that well with Supes

Close but Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.

Only the Dark Knight stands out. Rises was weak and Batman Begins was entirely unremarkable. Also, Batman/Bruce Wayne are portrayed like garbage in all three movies, so these movies are waaaay overrated.

But Cap 1 sucked, so I don't really know where it stands.

I still need to see civil war but if it as good as I think it is (somehow I have avoided spoilers) then captain america will be the best trilogy.

I'll go with the Ironman movies.

Let me see if I can answer this with a rank:

CA:Civil War   9/10

Winter Soldier  8.5/10

First Avenger 7/10

TOTAL POINTS 24.5

Batman TDK 8.5/10

TDKR 7.5/10

B. Begins 6/10

 TOTAL POINTS 22

Spiderman II 9/10

Spiderman 1 8/10

Spiderman III 6/10

 TOTAL POINTS 23

So yeah,  I guess that (for me) Captain America is a better Trilogy.

Although to be fair, Civil War is actually an Avenger movie in my opinion.

No, the first half of the first one was great. Then it got a bit silly. I thought the second one was ok, but not great.

My favorites are still the firs two Xmen movies. (Even-though Hally Berry is in them.)

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I am surprised that people like the Dark Knight as a trilogy so much, I feel like this trilogy of movies are really just riding off of the goodwill of TDK (which was incredible) ,especially TDKR (this movie borders on being terrible). I guess also coming off of batman & robin, batman begins might also look like a masterpiece in comparasion.
