Which is the best superhero trilogy?

Blade 2 1.18%

Sam Raimi Spider-man 11 6.51%

Nolan's Batman 95 56.21%

Captain America 43 25.44%

Ironman 7 4.14%

X-men 11 6.51%

Total:169

The Dark Knight Trilogy is he best because it is a good film trilogy that happens to be a superhero franchise. Captain America is a good superhero franchise but honestly, if it wasn't Captain America a lot of interest would be lost. The Dark Knight Saga has a better handle on themes and greater thematic depth than anything Marvel has put out.  If Batman had started with the Dark Knight Saga, the movies would not be lessened and Batman would already be iconic.

So no, Captain America isn't the best. Still really great though. Captain America and Thor I feel are the strongest Marvel franchises. Ironman could have been but it was a downhill ride.

it's great, but Dark Knight trilogy was more epic!

As fun as CW was, it should not be considered a Captain America movie.

It's half half against Iron Man and the ensamble cast helps a lot.

It's pretty clear that it was Cap's movie. Cap and Bucky got more attention than Iron Man. Though yes, the ensemble cast obviously helped, it's clear that it was Captain America: [Avengers] Civil War and not Avengers Civil War: Cap vs Iron Man.

There is so many comic book movies nowadays, it's hard to make a list, if I try to think about it, I think that I need to rewatch all the iron man movies, X-2 , blade 2.

But anyway, first avenger was really average, and Civil War was good but not great. The Winter Soldier though, was damn near perfect.

No.

Nolan Batman movies would get that title without a doubt.

The captain america movies just feel like prequels to the next Avengers movie, which doesn't interest me in the slighted. The first captain america was solid but forgettable, much like Thor. The second captain america upped the action, cast but even more so, the melodrama.

Third was just plain boring. The only thing I remember is the ''airport'' sequence (but certainly not the choreography) and thinking how pointless Spiderman, Panther and the other b list avenger stars.

I like the Nolan trilogy better, and I believe Captain America 1 was pretty weak, but it comes pretty close.
Winter Soldier was a really good movie. Civil War was a masterpiece.

its clearly the best third film in the superhero genre..

Dark Knight Rises, Iron Man 3, Spiderman 3, Return of the Jedi, Blade 3, Superman 3 (with Richard Pryor), Batman Forever, all crumbled under the pressure of their second movie..

I think Captain America has the best trilogy. X3 almost killed the X-Men movie franchise. Spider-Man 3 forced a reboot that wasn't very well received. Dark Knight Rises was such a mess that there hasn't been a continuation of that series. While CA: First Avenger stumbled out the gate, the trilogy got progressively better, with higher stakes and stronger influence on the MCU. There had to be 3 X-men-ish movies before The Last Stand was retconned, but Captain America is in a healthier position than any other superhero movie franchise. The others are on life support and if the new Spider-Man takes off, Civil War gets some of the credit for getting the hype train moving. A botched first movie is FAR better than a botched third.

The Dark Knight Rises made over a billion dollars and, even with its flaws, was still considered a critical success. TDKR didn't get a continuation becuase Nolan didn't want to make another one and Warner Bros saw the money Marvel was making off of its universe and wanted to do the same.
