Which is the best superhero trilogy?

Blade 2 1.18%

Sam Raimi Spider-man 11 6.51%

Nolan's Batman 95 56.21%

Captain America 43 25.44%

Ironman 7 4.14%

X-men 11 6.51%

Total:169

We have gotten alot of superhero trilogies over the past 20 years or so from blade to spiderman, nolan's batman, ironman etc, and we just got the the 3rd entry into the captain amercia movies, and after very little thought into it I realized the CA movies is the best superhero trilogy we have gotten on the big screen. Considering that the first CA movie wasn't all that much of a big hit but it really grew with each installment.

Most of the other superhero entries usually suffered by the time the 3rd movie comes around, it happened with spiderman, it happened with the dark knight rises, ironman peaked with ironman 1 and so on, but the CA movies continuously got better or at least the 3rd one was just as good and didn't bring the franchise down (although I might admit that the WS and CW are hard to compare but are still both enjoyable movies). Its also done while keeping a consistant underlying narrative between two friends both from a time long gone one who wakes up to become a hero while the other one one of the most wanted person on the planet. Its only when I watched over the first avenger that I realized how a big part of these movies are cap and bucky relationship, the orignal spiderman trilogy also tried to keep this friend narrative between harry and peter but the 3rd movie was really bogged down in the end. With each installment getting bigger and better cap is probably the best superhero trilogy we have got.

So who else also thinks  this is probably the best superhero trilogy we are going to get.

BTW trailers should really not spoil movies the cap bucky ironman fight would have been a real shocker if it wasn't shown in the trailers, as the movie intailly wants you to think they are going to fight the other winter soldiers then twist, but it was already spoiled bu the trailers.

Edit- Now with a poll

Batman triology was better in my opinion. And for the record I in generally prefer Marvel. Civil war beats Rises in my opinion and the first avenger equals batman begins. But The Dark Night is simply way better than the winter soldier. But there is nothing wrong with being the second best considering the list.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

It is the most distinct given origin was period piece, sequel felt modern, and then third one is massive team up.

I'd still give nod to Nolan's Batman trilogy, but Captain America is a great second place.

Never really thought about it, but I guess so. I liked the first two Spider-man movies more than any of the Captain America movies, but the third one was a major disappointment  (bear in mind, I'm  Spider-man fanboy).

I didn't like TFA that much the first time I saw it, but after the Winter Soldier I liked it a lot more on repeated viewings. The movie was far too simplistic, but it makes a great contrast to the moral ambiguity in the later films.

Of the Dark Knight Trilogy, I think Dark Knight is the only one that was that great. Begins was very good, and Rises was ok.

I guess Cap kind of wins by default. There really is no other super hero franchises with three consecutively good movies.

well, I only watched the first movie which was better than expected, but still meh

No. Nolan's Batman movies are far and away the best. Marvel's movies are fun, but they lack the guts to put them over the top. They simply play things too safe to carry any real weight, where you get emotionally invested.

The complete and utter borefest that is Captain America: The First Avenger make it isnt.

Nolans Batman Trilogy comes first, then I take Iron Man over Captain America as well, my love for Winter Soldier is real though. Love that movie.

No way, Dark Knight Trilogy hands down!

I've not seen Civil War yet but while the first two were good they weren't AMAZING. But I would say I prefer the Captain America movies to Iron Man and Thor. Marvel's movies are almost always good, but that's where they stay imo, I've never watched a Marvel movie I thought was fantastic, they're just very good and fun.

It's good and in my top 3

1. Batman (Nolan)

Catain America split second and third with Blade

Yeah, I'd say so.
