Forums - Sony Discussion - Does Naughty Dog think we are children?

Now an estimated 4 hours into the story, I think it is quite an insultment how incompetent gamers Naughty Dog thinks we are. The game is giving me the most obvious hints all the time even with GAME HINTS TURNED OFF. After so many hours it still says to me with big letters on the screen that I need to cover to recover health, how to progress through the level and that I have to knock-out enemies while in high grass. Despite the linearity of the game, it still says NO YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY. Why is Naughty Dog so afraid to lose players when they have to point things out for themselves to solve puzzels?

It was much worse in previous Uncharted games. Trust me,  you'll see some decent puzzles as u get further into the game. Also they removed the stupid yellow visual queues for things u need to jump on. Also there's more platforming in u4 that requires some actual timing, and has consequences.

Overall U4 is the least hand holdy of all the Uncharteds

What I find odd is according to you, game hints still came up with game hints turned off.

Absolute travesty.

They should have typed up a 100 page manual (in full colour) and required that all gamers read through the manual before playing the game.

Instead they've included hints of how to play the game in the game itself. disgraceful.

I don't think OP is asking for a manual or anything like that so no need to be so flippant. According to the OP, "After so many hours it still says to me with big letters on the screen that I need to cover to recover health". I don't have the game so I cannot confirm this occurs but this sounds annoying as heck to be reminded of by the game.

Double-checked and game hints is turned off. I wouldn't have started this thread otherwise. At least give an option for more advanced players to not be overwhelmed by tutorials. The option 'Tutorials' is even locked to 'On' if you haven't finished the game.

Wah, wah, wah....Uncharted 4 is harassing me with useless hints.

Wah, wah, wah.... Why won't games let me go at my own pace?

Wah, wah, wah... Why is Donald Trump wasting his time running for President?

Wah, wah, wah....We never did land on the moon, it was all faked.

Wah, wah, wah....The attack on 9/11 was an inside job perpetuated by the Bush administration.

The only time I get mad at hints and directions is if it actually interrupts game play. Does it do that? If not, then this is not a big deal at all.

One of my only gripes in Uncharted games. The other being mindless waves of enemies already waiting in the area I just discovered.

I like the feeling of satisfaction of figuring out a challenging puzzle but sometimes the game gives you the answer before you even realize you were stuck. I was just looking for treasure!

But most people playing their games are children, so they are not wrong?

Some would declare these legitimate complaints.

This thread won't end well (and has already added some Trolling to it). Keeping a close eye, but it's already not looking good.

You should be adding all these useless threads that do nothing but nitpick into one official Uncharted 4 nitpicking thread. None of these threads add any usual insight, thoughtfull discussion or perspective on the game. Next will be a thread about the game having too much color or too much climbing. I may be wrong, but I believe that's called moderation.
