Didn't like V nearly as much as IV, Civ IV was as close to a perfect strategy game I've ever played. Let's see which direction they take with this, if it's more of the same, I don't think I'll be very happy.

Civ 3 and Civ 4 were great fun, but I did not enjoy Civ 5. So I am sad they are looking to copy Civ 5 most of all.

I'm sad that it still looks butt ugly and they still go for those cartoon grafix.

What we really need is an AI that doesn't artificially inflate the difficulty by always declaring war on you, or giving all their ytech to enemies for like 3 grain

Or AI that refuses to yield a city on your border when you have 5-6 as high a score and ten times the military power, and then they demand your city on the border instead... Or weak punks making threats and demanding tribute, and when you deny them (of course), the become the vassal of some great empire and declare war on your ass for your behavior.

New Xcom and Civ in the same year? Dope.
