People, a Remake can't be done: if they do a remake in 2017 they'll have to do a S/M sequel/third version in 2018 meanin that Pokémon would arrive on NX only in 2019, I don't see Nintendo and GameFreak waiting THAT LONG for launching the series on the new hardware...

We'd better fucking not. Go to 8th gen. SM looks atrocious on the 3DS.

They don't even have to do a remake they could be in the same region with a different story like they could do johto except with a different story.

I hope the Sinnoh remake comes in the NX (if it has a handheld counterpart). Alola's 3rd version / sequel on the NX would be very nice to push hardware sales too!

Well B/W 2 came out on DS like a full year into the 3ds life (I think), so considering the handheld hardware isn't even really talked about yet (all signs point to the NX being a console or hybrid, at least), let alone coming out soon, I think there is a good chance that, regardless of if it is a remake/sequel/new game, the next Pokemon game on 3ds (after sun and moon), I suspect, will launch on the 3ds and not the next handheld. I doubt Nintendo, if they don't do a hybrid, will launch both their console and handheld in the same fiscal year, so the handheld wouldn't come until at least 2018.

I think the remakes sell better than the sequals... even though B/W 2 was pretty good.

They should go straight to gen 8.

At this rate, I'm not expecting none of the above to happen.

Of couse, maybe Game Freak will be super unpredictable, and Z ends up coming out AFTER Sun and Moon.
