Because Dark Souls is a action RPG from a Japanese dev.

Anyways, KH yes - but thats mainly cause of the content and not the genre :P - hence why a thread I'm about to make proves that! :O

Didn't know "action RPG from a Japanase dev" was a genre. I've only heard about action RPGs (or ARPGs if you please) :-O

JRPG = Japanese RPG

Soo...... Dark Souls and Lords of The Fallen are not the same genre, but Dark Souls and Pokémon are? Gotcha

I don't see the relevance of that thread to the discussion we are having though...

It's rather silly to have separate genres just based on the country of origin. Genre doesn't have anything to do with where it's made.
