Should have bought the Model C. Runs quiet as a mouse. 40 watts less power too. Sad it's outdated when NEO comes out.

My PS4 is always like that when i am playing an amazing game. It is the launch model. By the way It never turned off because of heat.

Did it feel the need for speed?.

Few days ago Overwatch beta sent my machine humming quite a bit along with some added heat. First game to have done that I think.

The PS4 actually runs hotter when you sit it vertically. Tests were done showing this back in 2013.

Really? My PS3 goes way more cool and quite while standing vertically.
Thought PS4 would be the same.

i have a launch model it got loud when i bought it since then i gave it more room to breath mainly the rear of the console it need more room then my ps3 that was in the same spot

i also have it jacked up on all four corners on one and half inch blocks did this with my ps3 aswell mines been pretty silent i sit about 5 feet away from it too

i also been playing UC4 up to chapter 6 with no noticeable over heating only cleaned the inside once since launch wasnt too bad in there but that also made it a silent as it was when new
