Let them make Mario Sports with the FIFA/NBA/NHL/NFL license.

Mario & Sonic sucks anyway and its not like Sega is earning their keep in that relationship by giving Ninendo great games; stop collaborating with companies just because they're Japanese. And Next Level is probably too busy with bigger and better things to go back to Mario Strikers.

I think allowing bundles with non-Nintendo games would be enough to get EA sports and CoD, honestly. And those are the ones Nintendo needs the most with western publishers.

I think they already allow bundles. There was a ZombiU bundle for the Wii U. Plus, most AAA games that are bundle worthy these days are already locked up by Sony and Microsoft.

Yeah, but ZombiU was an exclusive, so being bundled with it is not the same as being bundled with a multiplat (specially EA sports multiplats, I think EA made quite clear they wanted to bundle their sports games).

You know it deserves the GOTY.

If EA wants a Madden or FIFA or Star Wars bundle ... I mean, do it Nintendo. I don't see the problem. It doesn't have to be the only NX bundle just make limited quantities of it.

Do you think EA(Fifa/Madden/so on) or Activision(CoD/Destiny/ so on) are impatiently waiting for Nintendo to call them back and "allow" them to bundle their Multi million selling franchises on Nintys next Console? Sony and Microsoft pay quite alot of money to be able to associate those properties with their devices yet Nintendo has to be gracious enough to allow those minor third party filth to bundle their games wih the next Nintendo console? Really? Let´s hope Nintendo thinks differently...
EDIT: Sorry in case I totally misunderstood you, however what did you mean by that?

Yup...RO friggin rocked

I feel the same way as EA:
If it makes sense for me to be there, I will be.

It all depends on Nintendo. The ball is in their court.

Thats just it.... why is it like this?

With sony, 3rd party dont go "we ll wait and see how things turn out".

They support the system from the start (which in turn helps the system sell).

3rd party dont treat nintendo the same way.

Because in general Ninty fans buy Ninty games, while Sony fans buy mostly 3rd party games.

It's not like companies play favourites or have a grudge against anyone. If it makes sense financially to release a game on a certain platform, they will. What they're saying is, we're not taking any unnecessary risks this time around. And I don't see why they would. With Sony home consoles, they simply know their games are gonna sell well. Simple as that.

They will probabily barely support it, at least at launch.

If games like FIFA/Madden, and in general sport games sells """decent""" like on GC, then they can support it with those games for the intere generation, if not at least firsts years.

Though the other games like Battlefield, Star Wars, Mass effect ecc, they won't be on NX.

Because the way Nintendo and Sony have historically treated third parties is like night and day.

Nintendo's history is well known.  There really is no reason to list everything from the past but, as an example, EA was once ready to go PC-only until Sega came along, simply because Nintendo was choking the life out of developers.  Yeah, that was a long time ago but some of that attitude still remains.

On the other hand, Sony and Microsoft treat third party developers and publishers like business partners.  They create an environment that is beneficial to them and they maintain constant communication.  It's not just about total installed base.  Sony and Microsoft have helped developers build consumer bases that follow their products and they've done it consistently over generations.  The problem for Nintendo is that they haven't done that so now third parties would have to start from scratch.  Is it worth it?  I'm willing to bet they've run a lot of projections and know far better than we would.

Imagine if console were malls and Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo were mall developers.

Nintendo builds a mall.  They tell retailers, "you can come rent a space now."  Most of the customers just come for the Nintendo brand store, though, and Nintendo doesn't give the retailers any more thought.

Sony and Microsoft don't just build a mall, though.  They talk to retailers about location, unit size, parking, lighting, and everything else first.  Then they build the mall.  After that, they run programs to pull in customers to the retailers, they help with the advertising, and they do their best to support the entire mall instead of just the Sony/Microsoft brand store.

Is that how Nintendo is going to be for the NX?  I don't know.  However, they would still have to fight all that history.  Nintendo would have to go above and beyond just to reach parity, if it's even possible at this point.

You have a twisted view of reality and the market.

EA are a bunch of liars and full of anti consumer practices. It always made sense to support nintendo yet they came with their BS actions on wii, wii u and 3ds.
