Gran Turismo might outsell UC4
TLOU2 might outsell UC4
GTA6 WILL outsell UC4

GTA6 didn't sell well (although it came out at the end of PS3 cycle); a big drop from GTA5.   But I don't think GTA7 (PS4) will outsell Uncharted 4.  Like Halo, Gran Turismo have been came 4 console generations ago (PS1 for GT; original Xbox for Halo).  Those gamers that made up the original GTA and Halo fanbase are old, having kids/jobs and basically grown up and no longer playing video games.  Neither are picking up new fans at the rate of losing old fans.  Both GTA and Halo are fading franchises.  Even as a Playstation fan, Forza is a better racing game than GTA.

Uncharted 1 came out only 1 console generation ago (PS3), and Uncharted is still a growing franchise.  Uncharted 4 will outsell the next GTA game.

It was mostly a devil's advocate and reality check kind of post, but I see that you misunderstood.

I mentioned two games with the potential to outsell UC4 (Gran Turismo 7 and The Last of Us 2) along with one game that will almost certainly outsell UC4 (and TLOU2 and Gears 4 and Halo 5 COMBINED) and that is GTA6 when that hits probably in 2018 or so. GTA = Grand Theft Auto. Check GTAV sales to see what I mean, it's something beyond absurd now, last I heard was over FIFTY MILLION sold, and it's still been charting month after month.

As for GT7, who knows. I think GT5 ended up with something like 12M the last time PR popped on it. GT6 launched under a cloud of excitement and hype for PS4 and Xbox One, so it absolutely got crushed. I bought GT5 and had fun with it, and I actually checked several stores casually as I was shopping for GT6. To this day I've never even seen a physical copy of it anywhere I've been.

Has that irrevocably damaged the Gran Turismo brand? I have no idea. But in terms of sales, it definitely has to rank as one of the very few titles that has a chance to sell more copies on PS4 than UC4. If I were a betting man I'd put it at maybe 3 to 1 against doing so, but it'd be a crime not to at least mention it. TLOU2 is a given, that should be a good battle, and of course GTA just crushes everything in sight other than Minecraft, and even that is a bit unfair because MC is like $10 on PC and what, $20 or so on most consoles other than WiiU? Feels weird, the last GTA I bought was Vice City I think. I hated GTA4, and I want to play GTA5 someday, but I doubt I'll have the time to really get into it, so I'm waiting to see it on a PC sale for like $10, or maybe a PS4 copy down the line for $5 in a bin at the end of the gen or a garage sale. Obviously I am completely alone in this, and basically everyone in the world with a console has bought this game, perhaps more than once haha.

And Halo 5? Hahaha. It was doubtful that it could put up a good fight once we saw how crippled the launch numbers were in comparison to past mainline Halo titles. Now that we've seen these UC4 numbers, it's a wrap. All that's left to see is if UC4 doubles H5 in the end.

Why are you guys refering to Gran Turismo as "GTA", where is the "A" in Gran Turismo ?, if Gran Turismo 6 was a 8th Gen game and had the exact same numbers, the game would be the best selling racing game this gen, even with the Damaged sales because of the Release of the PS4, not even the last Need for Speed or Forza games did numbers close to Gran Turismo 6 (over 5 Millions units sold).

I'm sure that Gran Turismo 7 will sell 10+ Millions of units.

I thought that, at the time, it was possible for Uncharted 4 could outsell Guardians pending on how well the PS4 was selling up to the point of release. I did not expect this though. 7-8 million lifetime would be quite the achievement.

LOL I'm not, I was trying to correct him, he confused GT with GTA, not me :) It's just a coincidence that of the tiny number of games on the map that could directly outsell UC4 outside of mega 3rd party yearly stuff like COD happens to be both the Gran Turismo and Grand Theft Auto franchises.

Pretty amazing how fast things have changed. Uncharted 4 will pass 10 million eventually and Halo 5 will have sold what, like 5 million?

Its called GT and GT6 is undertracked here, its sales are at least 4.5m or over 5m.

GT5s sales are 15m to 18m if you count the prologue

The game is still at #6 on Amazon, pushed down only because of big releases like Overwatch and those PSN cards. This game is easily going to reach 10m eventually.

The PS5 Exists.

uncharted will sell more

Uncharted is a bigger franchise than Halo now, i think its safe to say Uncharted will outsell Halo 5 in 1-2 months.

Uncharted is a bigger franchise then Halo? Explain bigger because last time i checked, Halo franchise is valued over $3.6b compared to Uncharted's $2b
