I can guarantee you that the Water starter learns Ice moves. If there is a single Water type out there that doesn't learn Ice moves by its final evolution (so don't come back at me with Magikarp), I'd like to know what it is.

The owl is going to be my starter no matter how bad it is, although I'll probably do like I did with Y and use all three in a team of 12 Pokemon total. Watch the owl be just like Noctowl and learn a ton of attacking moves for one type that it doesn't get any STAB for, lol.

First they looked pretty meh to me. But I kinda like them now. Maybe I'll go with the water starter this time. Also like that the region is based on Hawaii! Hoenn is my favorite region and this one will have lots of water.
