sorry i guess i wondered off track lol

what i mean is declining sales caused Nintendo to essentially kill the Star Fox series, a decade later they resurrected it, if sales dont increase upon its return than Nintendo likely has no desire to keep it alive.

on the other hand you are right that Fire Emblem had been declining before Awakening, the difference is that they had not put the franchise on hiatus yet, they said Awakening was the series last chance.

Awakening was FE last chance and it passed, Star Fox already had its last chance hence the decade long coma. if SFZ fails than it likely just confirms to Nintendo that they were right it killing it off.

Nintendo mismanaged the franchise into the toilet, it used to be one of Nintendo's biggest franchises, the SNES and N64 versions both sold more than 4 million copies. That's more than any Metroid, console Kirby, or Fire Emblem game ever.

Then Miyamoto started tinkering with the series and refusing to make a proper sequel to Star Fox 64.

im well aware of all that, im talking about the mindset at Nintendo, they will likely look at poor sales of Zero and think people dont want Star Fox instead of thinking,

"maybe people would rather have a SF game that expands on the formula of SF/64 with high end visuals and standard controls."

If Adventures didn't kill the series, nothing can.

SF0 has had negative hype since the moment it was announced, and it's objectively a worse game than SF64 (although I do enjoy it a lot), and it still will be a million seller easily. If anything the negative reception but positive sales should show Nintendo that, hey, maybe they shouldn't make Star Fox 1 foe the thirtieth time next time.

why would it? was the best game in the series.

The game is great and those who played the SNES and 64 versions like myself like Zero. I don't care what Metacritic says. Its a fun game worthy of a good sequal.

I live evolution. Even COD evolved for the better.  doing the sam thing becomes stale.

Star fox has the potential to be bigger.

only a few would say that.

the game is outdated for the modern world.

It is not SF0 fault, it's Miyamoto's stubborness. He needs to retire asap.

It took 11 years for the series to come back, I think the only way Starfox will have another game is after Miyamoto retire, and another producer/game director push for a sequel.

Miyamoto didn't believe in a straight up sequel, he wanted to make an innovative gameplay or nothing, he believed the franchise needed a renewal, and I think he was right, but certainly not this kind of renewal. Anyway now they're going to say that because people didn't buy this shitty game, that means we are not interested in starfox anymore.

Until then, no more starfox for us. Thank you Miyamoto

Suuuure.  What, no, I'm not backing away slowly, why would you ask?

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

But could they get anyone good enough to replace him?

If they search enough, yes. Maybe someone more open mind.

I'd have to say no. I say most people have fairly exaggerated the controls and have used that as an excuse to hate on it really.

Now the controls aren't perfect. I personally gave this game a 7.5 due to controls such as when I first played as the chicken, i didnt grasp it right away and same with the tank, didnt grasp it right away. The arwing/cockpit view i got immediately and it was easy to control.

I didnt get used to the full controls of everything till the end of the game, so i decided to try it a second time and breeze through the game without any trouble with the controls, second playthrough I bumped up my review score to 8.5. Controls felt better but there was some clunkyness that needed to be fixed.

I think they need to make a more original star fox next time, this was a good one,but people are looking for the NEXT adventure in the star fox universe

But that'd require Nintendo to open up to hiring young and hip new blood, and they're not known for that, or even trying to change.

Then they should start asap. Leaving the same dinasours control de company has left them in this dire position where Miyamoto blames people for not understanding the Wii U concept as the cause of the failure.
