Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Hosting A Presentation @ E3 2016 for Business Partners

So they may actually be showing something more than Zeruda but won't show it to us, its dedicated fanbase? Are they trying to move us over to the other consoles?

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

There isn't anything holding this to be NX-related, people. Nintendo did this kind of "presentation" for business partners back in 2011 for Wii U, which released only in November 2012. So yeah, they could be showing games/concepts/features/specs for third parties/developers regarding the NX.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

And with this, we can confirm no Direct. If there was one, they would have announced by now.

Edit: quoting because people needs to read the truth.

This is nothing more than a briefing for retailers and business partners of Nintendo.

They discuss Nintendo's performance at retail and the upcoming games that will be coming to retail.

The event is not for the public, nor should it be as consumer announcements do not take place here. They literally just discuss what's coming in the year and how they expect it to be pitched/sold to consumers.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Not that it matters at this point, but the most substantial info from this would be a price cut for the WiiU and New 3DS + more Nintendo selects.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

You aren't wrong, but with Paper Mario: Color Splash being the only Wii U game presumably slated for the later half of the year plus the NX being only months away from this holiday season,  it does stimulate the thought of something bigger happening and not just some silly announcement like the next Just Dance and games like that.

You are assuming this is for Wii U, just a week ago Kimishima said that by phasing out support for Wii U they can focus their attention on 3DS this year.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force, Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII, Dragon Quest VIII, Rhythm Heaven: Megamix, Pokemon Sun/Moon are all set to release in the second half of the year and based on the previous leak of upcoming 3DS titles, Nintendo still has 2 unnanounced titles and a price cut on the way.

I'm well informed on the great support the 3DS will be recieving and Nintendo's focus shifting away from the Wii U swiftly, but I still do see the slight possibility of it getting its last trickle of decent support this season. Of course this is my skeptical optimism speaking and I wouldn't be suprised to be proven wrong on it.

Nothing interesting for us.

3rd parties would know and potentially have nx kits already.... Probably isn't that? Unless they're just informing them of their own plans in the future.

I want leaks!

Likely nothing. They do this every year, E3 is supposed to be for industry members only, and retailers are a big part of the industry and E3.

That's why you as a game fan cannot just go to E3 and purchase a ticket at the gate. It's for industry members (retailers, developers, and press members).
