Forums - Gaming Discussion - So the PS4 is finally worth it if you're only into exclusives

I'd wait and see what the NX lineup is.

What does this have to do with the PS4?

I reverted the question. I was just talking about overall numbers of exclusives. If so, I'd say wait till you know all the options.

But like I said in a later post. If we are just talking PS4 it comes down to if the person likes the games, all the exclusives in the world do not mean anything if they don't like the games offered.

Telling people to wait on the NX regarding if the PS4's exclusives are worth it doesn't make any sense.

I'm saying if you are thinking of buying a console stictly for exclusives, know what your options are.

No fight intended.

So someone should wait 10 months to know if a console that released in 2013 is worth it for its exclusives?

I imagine you will have a good idea what is coming before then. And I mean, they waited 3 years right? If they are looking at a console purely for exclusives, I doubt it's really going to matter to them if they got to wait a little while longer to know what they are getting. Heck, why not wait to see what the price of a PS4 Neo is? It could be announced at E3.

It boils down to never just buy a game because of a number of things. The PS4 has the most games, but if a person really would rather have played the new Dead Rising or Scalebound all them numbers aren't going to amount to much.

Not sure if sarcasm or not. I have to have 10 to 20 exclusives to purchase a console, which explains why I never bought an Xbox. There's also the expectations factor of history, and Sony delivers. I always look to the next yr, to see what's new coming out for PlayStation. 20 different franchises, 8 being new, is what gets me buying a console. NINTENDO gets a pass.

Eh, it actually doesn't explain why you don't own a Xbox. OG and 360 have more than 10 exclusives, you know.

How is this even possible?

Srry, I thought it was understood, the purchase is subject too taste, so I'll explain a bit. When I look back, and think of everything that released for the 360, the only game I liked was The Gears trilogy.

This gen, Sun set overdrive, Gears 4, and quantum break, so based on those few exlusives and my personal requirements, the purchase of a console, XB1 falls well short of the 20 exclusive requirement, with me having zero expectations of MS hitting the 20 exclusive mark.

I don't play many multiple form games. Madden and AC are the only ones I can think of off hand.

It can still be à question right now, but by thé end of thé year it will be a certainty

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

So that first one you listed is good? I was looking at it at Gamestop the day before yesterday and was debating on getting it? And it is a JRPG?

If you're talking about Digimon, from what I've seen, people who actually own the game really like it. And yes it's an JRPG so there is grinding.

It has a 75 metacritic but it has a 8.6/10 rating by users, and that's actually sorta rare lol.

That sounds like a shifting argument, which is fine. I see now that you're saying weigh all the options, but your inital post wasn't in the same vein.

I can see how it would seem like that. I'll try to keep more on topic.
