Didn't try and screw the consumer, they was going to do what microsoft was going to do with the DRM then saw the backlash Microsoft got if it, if it would have worked for microsoft sony would of done the same thing, they came in with a cheaper price at launch and capitalised on Microsofts big mess, it just fell into place for them, didn't psn get hacked a couple of years ago and customers information stolen, i wouldn't trust Sony as far as i could throw them.
