Mirror's Edge Catalyst is 900p on PS4, 720p on Xbox One

Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mirror's Edge Catalyst is 900p on PS4, 720p on Xbox One

is mirrors edge done by dice???

Ea is milking dice so much. How many games do they release?
Battlefront, mirrors edge, battlefield 5 all in less then a full year?

According to wikipedia dice "just" have 350 employers. Releasing 3 big aaa games in less then 1 year with 350 employers is ridiculous. No wonder battlefront has like no content.

300 people worked on the witcher 3 and it took them 3-4 years.
Now dice is releasing 3 games in 1 year with 350 people...

im surprised this is having performance issues after Battlefront ran so well.

30 fps isn't much to boast about.

Could be wrong, but nowhere have I seen a vid that looks like it's pushing visuals to where it should be lowered this much.

Has probably more to do with the engine being optimized for these resolutions at these frames. It seems to be either 900p60 or 1080p30

SW BF, Battlefield games, Mirrors Edge are 900p60

Dragon Age Inquisition, Need for Speed are 1080p30

Nintendo NX will be 1080p then ;)

Gotta love all these posts completely ignoring the idea of whether or not the game is actually good or not and only using what resolution it runs in as their criteria for buying it.

I fear for the entire gaming industry over the next few years, with "gamers" like these.

I don't see how wanting good graphics or better resolutions = not caring if a game is good.   The gaming industry has constantly worked on improving visuals. Why is it only in danger this particular generation?

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?

Marco....

Needs to be lower. Developers need to learn that "targeting 60FPS" isn't a noble goal unless you actually do it. "50-60fps in most cases" is not 60fps.

If you played ME, enjoyed it and watched only one gameplay video, you already know it's good. All that's left to care about is visuals and performance which are a big part of the experience.

Depends on the context. Many people would take a solid 30 over a stumbling-to-60fps. This is on top of the fact that Uncharted's multiplayer mode runs @ 60fps.

350? It says 560 as of 2014.

Plus they didn't release a game in 2014 and I believe Mirror's Edge has been in development for a while so I expect it to have a decent amount of content.
