Well that didn't take long for the 3-game bundle to break into the top 100 after it was upgraded to a super ultra mega promo bundle for only $350. There's only a little over a week worth of updates yet, so let's see how far up it goes.


Now for the initial Week 4 rankings:

XBO 3-game bundle: #9
PS4 CoD bundle: #16
XBO Gears bundle: #47

Well, the PS4 could possibly lose a week. Now we know what it takes for the XBO to win.


Finally, here's this week's update to the yearly rankings:

PS4 CoD bundle: #15 (—)
XBO Gears bundle: #43 (↑4)
New 3DS XL: #91 (↓2)

Since there's usually so little change with the yearly rankings week to week, I will only update them at the start of each month starting next month through to November. I will only do weekly updates to the yearly rankings during the holidays, which I will define as Black Friday week to December 31.

P.S.: I'm starting a new part-time job beginning Saturday, so my daily updates will sometimes be late.

Yes it makes sense, we are entering in one of the slowest months of the year so the weekly sales will have little effect in the Yearly.

Regardless of promotions I don´t think there´s anything microsoft can do at this point. The consolidation of PS4 can´t be easily stopped.

Best chance microsoft has is next year, when they should completely reboot xbox. Still may be a hard sell since Sony will most likely ride on PS4 success for a long time and release hardware "updates".

 

I wonder if from now on customers will avoid changing platforms the same way phone users do. If that happens, this iterative hardware model couldn´t have happened in a worst time for microsoft.

If you get 3 free games (gears, ori, rare) and Halo 5 ontop, along with a free extra controller and a 100$ gift card.

Holy shyt, thats atleast 200$ of "free" extra stuff, in lost profits. Just to move the 1 unit of Xbox One.

How is that not selling much much faster than the Playstation 4 on amazon?

 

Amazon must have stocked way to many units of Xbox Ones, otherwise this makes no sense.

Maybe people aren't willing to take a chance with the X1, knowing that the PS4 is "the" console to have, this gen, like 360 was last gen, even though i didn't have one personally.

Yeah, I think that's probably right. Baring in mind this incredible deal is still not beating the PS4. will Amazon trust the XB1 brand enough to take a decent amount of stock. Will other retailers take that risk too?

Just a thought: do we ever analyze Amazon charts in other countries? I mean they have these charts for many countries across the globe, but it seems like the only Amazon ever analyzed is Amazon US charts. Is Amazon as big PAL regions as it is in US?

Smart move from Amazon, is better to get rid of the stock before the Normal consumer know about Xbox Slim/Scorpion.
