as for the ps4 maybe brand loyality? you are a xbox gamer and despise the succes of the sony console?

Well yeah, that would be my guess to. But I'm interested in seeing what he says the reason is.

yeah i do.  

i dont see it selling another 7-8 years those times are over i believe

PS3 has been almost 10years on the market.

I think even when the PS5 launches, the PS4 will still be there on the market selling (better than the ps3).

I dont believe we re even halfways into the life cycle of the PS4 (PS5 wont launch before 2019).

Its at over 40m shipped, and the gen is first starting to kick off for real now.

PS4(k or neo) and a PS4 at 249$... sales are about to get much bigger for the PS4.

The games are finally here. Demand for the PS4 is going to be higher than ever before + price is going to drop soon = sales go up.

 

I just cant see how that means it ll end up less than 90m units sold.

I think it can pass PS1 but it's not going to beat the PS2.

If VR is a hit it could sell better than PS2 - if not, less than PS3.

I think Microsoft is going to kick start the next gen early though, which will place competitive pressure on Sony to react.

Arnt they doing the Xbox One ii  (the one two) ? Which is like a stronger Xbox One?

Then theres the Playstation 4 Neo.... which again is just a stronger PS4.

The Nintendo NX, rumored to be slightly stronger than the PS4.

 

All 3 of them have new consoles comeing out..... I dont think anyone is planning on cutting the gen short.

Im pretty sure, those 3 new consoles will need atleast 3-4years on the market for the investment into launching them being worth it.

 

Basically Xbox Two, and Playstation 4, wont launch until 2019-2020.

I have to agree with this post! Without Sony we'd be stuck with Xbox's horrible initial reveal and I don't even know what Nintendo would be doing.

No, I believe it will be closer to 110-120 million. Still one hell of an accomplishment.

I know, I just think that VR is the mid-generation boost (like the Kinect was previous generation). If VR is a hit it will draw a lot of people - if not I guess it will be a short generation.
